I can honestly say that it's nice to see a manufacturer think of ideas outside the toy hauler ramp door solution. Now we have two! It's about time we had a manufacturer use a projector screen! Livinlite used to do a projector in their inflatable pop ups, nice to see it return!

Yeah, it feels like a thing people have asked for for a long time, but the RV industry has struggled to adopt. I’ve seen toy haulers tried a few times, but it was always for outside use and very gimmicky.
This is one of the first times I think it maybe has legs

Meets and checks off a lot of our boxes, the hidden bunk room is perfect for ebike storage, or glamping dog kennel 😊, my husband likes the projection screen, me ,I could live without it , the 3 season door is a must have, we currently have a small “toy hauler “ travel trailer, love the patio but the bug screen and putting it up and down every day gets old, plus if it’s HOT, you’re leaving it up. I’d prefer a no slide, twin bed version, but I definitely could make this work, love it

This camper checks all my boxes. Has enough room for my Harley. Has 3 season doors and the bonus room would be great for our 2 huge dogs food and water bowls (less mess in the rest of the camper) its only missing an awning on the rear but thats not a deal breaker. We like that it dosent have an oven. Get one in stock in coldwater so I can come buy it! Not kidding!

I walked through this today at an rv show. Move the kitchen sink to we’re the flat screen tv is taking up space. 86 the bunk room and put an east west bed in deep slide. Put a large outside camp kitchen with plumbed sink on the camp side on the bed room wall . I should have found a Forrest River rep to explain it. There was one rep that listened to my idea about 5th wheels with camp kitchens and putting a booth dinette so you could have storage under the booth to the outside.the ceiling could be about 2 ft taller for paddle board storage

Love the 3 season doors in the back, how well the middle room can function as an office and the flip up counters allowing everything but the couch to be used at a travel stop (I think). We don’t haul toys, so we’d put some more storage under the projector screen. The FSX team has been coming out with some great models.

Oh wow, I love the direction they went on this! Don't like the exposed outlets outside the 3 season patio, that's a miss for me, but the projector is awesome. I hope it has HDMI inputs? Be really cool if they put a slightly larger "shelf" up there or maybe even a small vented cabinet so you could hide a small game console or streaming box away nearby.
Bonus room is great, but is the giant fire escape door really necessary? I feel like an exit window would have done better and I don't like how it intrudes in such a small space, especially if you decide to go the office route instead of bunks.
My favorite part is definitely the "chaise lounge", I think more larger RVs need something like that which lets you stretch out and relax, sometimes the theater seats just don't offer the same versatility. Also love all the storage options in the bedroom.

The office is fabulous, but would want a bigger or pivoting desk set up for ease of use (back care). Great to have a storage ottomon; option for a second? Not sure I'd use the counter nearest hutch that closes off the kitchen. Bathroom definitely needs closed med cabinet AND linen area. And angle the toilet.

    CONSIDERATIONS!
First, I love your channel! It's the only RV channel I watch anymore.
As for this RV. I absolutely LOVE it! It checks all my boxes and then some. It has quickly become my new first pick for our full time rv plans.
    Some notes though.
*I think they've gone too big with the projector screen. It's impressive, but when you're that close, a screen that big can hurt your eyes, neck and shoulders.
    * Would be nice if the area where the projector is had a larger shelf for gaming consoles and DVDs.
*They should have split shades. So you can close the bottom for privacy but keep the top ones open for light / airflow.
*Wish you could take the sofa completely out of the bunk room.
    * Wish the closet in the bedroom had doors.
    * surprised it doesn't have a ladder for the patio
    * Wish there were covers for the cargo loops. My dogs and I always seen to catch a toe in them.
Just some food for thought 😋

lov this. Funny as the wife and i were watching we both said kill the slide and you almost have a winner. We have a ORV 24TRX and would not have any sort of rear deck without the 3 seasons doors. More times than not we leave it down the whole time we are camping. I think it really takes away from the enjoyment of the patio if you had to close it up each night, especially after a few adult beverages. figure out out to knock it down to 30-32 ft and its a winner!.

    @tickticktickBOOOOM 9 месяцев назад +1

This is interesting. I think a slideless version would still work quite well. I like the patio and privacy doors. Outside outlets might be a problem if it rains, though, especially without an awning. Not a deal breaker but they might want to look into it. While this can't haul a side by side, if it can handle an e-bike and a kayak, my needs are covered.
The view from the seats is superb. This is one of those RVs that are wasted if all you can see is the next campsite over. Projection TV is a great idea, too.
Kitchenwise, I'm okay with not having a propane oven. Putting it to the side is definitely the better move in general, although at least here the island gives plenty of prep space. A splashguard on the wall is a must, but that's an easy fix. I don't think many people would bother putting a TV in the kitchen when they have that awesome one just behind, but then I know a guy who still insists any car he buys have a tape deck installed.
In my case, that hidden room would certainly be turned into an office setup, and any changes they make that improve performance would be appreciated. Shelves, outlets, drawers, etc. Not sure the hatch is particularly useful any role.
Can't say I'm a fan of that weird bed, especially if it puts a crease where you least want one to be. I do like the alcove with adjustable shelves and washer prep. Overhead storage could use struts.
Outside, I hope they have something to firmly attach steps in patio mode. The shelves could be useful. I don't think outside speakers are worth the trouble, but at least these are down low. I'd prefer to see slam latched on the passthrough storage. An extra solar port is always nice to have.

The hidden bunk/utility room is a great idea. With the door to access it i could load my portable bbqs and generator in the trailer easily with the rear loading door closed.
    The road mode is nice.
The projector is a neat twist on a tv and i could see it making rainy days a little easier.
The rear patio is nice and makes it easy for entertaining as you are so close to the kitchen and you dont disturb sleeping kids when in use
I would like to know if i could hook any of my gaming systems to it for an awrsome game night with the kiddos.

An interesting proposition. The window space is very nice. The saved space using a projector instead of a whole TV is another smart one. The bunk space is very utilitarian , and I can see needing to fairly constantly move things in and out of that space, so that would have to be a serious consideration for buyers. I like the washer/dryer prep, especially since so few TTs have it. I sure hope I wouldn't have to lift the unit UP onto a shelf, though. Those washer-dryer combo units are VERY HEAVY for their size and having to lift one up into that is not good for owners' backs or knees, but also bad for the trailer's center of gravity.
My main gripes with this trailer:
    - Wood frame construction on steel beams (it sounds like, anyways), with additional structural concern for that all-window portion at the rear
    - Bad RV build habits - sloppy use of expanding foam and some other parts throughout make this look like good 2024 ideas executed with 2017-2023 cheapness. The exposed bed motor is another WTF cuz it will take mere minutes to break that when loading the pass-thru
    - A wall of mostly basic RV windows that, tinted or not, will absolutely irradiate the occupants and fight hard against the AC if the awning isn't open ALL the time
    - DUAL TANK DUMPS! I have a 5W with 2 and it is the one thing I absolutely hate, but my rig is much longer
    - Cargo tie-downs that seem to rise above floor level, which means they can be tripped on
Overall, this trailer, cool features or not, looks like half as much time was spent designing and thinking it out than is spent on other new-concept units.

    • @JoshtheRVNerd

For clarity it’s not dealers who make that decision
There are still a large number of people like myself who almost exclusively park camp. The majority of current users actually park camp. Though there is no question dry camping and Boondocking, as growing a great deal in popularity.
But there’s a lot of folks like me that don’t need 3000 extra dollars of hardware bolted to the roof of an RV that will provide very little actual use or benefit
And the folks who want that equipment can still have it applied themselves

Areas like that are why they forced larger air, and fiberglass package, which includes tinted windows. Not every RV can necessarily solve for every user situation. I tried to bring to light. Those areas were RVs might not be functional for some folks. But to be fair, I do lack experience in those regions so I can estimate
Since I recorded this, they have done some heat chamber testing and found they were able to maintain temperatures in the 70s inside while exterior temps were about 100
Obviously, in the really hot places that may not be sufficient, but that’s true of many RVs I think

I don't care for toy haulers; except for that great patio on the back. This RV provides a nice travel trailer with the patio and without the toy hauler-ness. There are only three caveats: The tiny kitchen sink and microwave-CONVECTION oven are non-starters. The sink is useless for anything beyond coffee cups. And no, a convection oven is not a suitable substitute for a propane oven. The third caveat is you can put the range-top all the way to the right, as displayed in the demo. But extend the back-splash to cover the wall to the right!
Other than that, this design is nigh-on perfect.

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  9 месяцев назад +1

I definitely agree on the sink for sure. This division also specializes in a lot of small trailers. And those smaller models that sink makes sense. And while I can respect, wanting to limit the number of different parts, they manage to streamline their process processes this does feel like a case, where the juice isworth the squeeze.

    • @respectbossmon
      @respectbossmon 9 месяцев назад

@@JoshtheRVNerd Yup. Little sinks have their place; especially in smaller applications like truck campers, sub-20' trailers, and A-frames. In those design scenarios space conservation is key, allowing for amenities like kitchen drawer stacks, two- or three-burner ranges, real ovens, and/or 12V .fridges. One of the things I love about RVs is how creative the manufacturers can be in their efforts to provide so much in such limited spaces.

This one's pretty much a winner as is, though there are a few tweaks we would ask for. At the top of the list would be an option to delete the tie downs in the living area - we would be ok with it if that meant they would go away forever or would be a hassle to reinstall, but for us they would be a tripping hazard as they are right now. The hidden man cave was executed perfectly and we appreciate that the bench is long enough for the dog to sit beside me while I would be typing away in the comment sections of your videos in there. Phenomenal windows but your point is valid, during Heat Miser season here in the SW there is not near enough a/c btu’s to cool that party barge. Of course we desert dwellers head to the pine forested mountains in hot season anyways. Cool bonus room too, sooo many possibilities for use. Great unique build! @joshthervnerd I agree with the questioning the living/kitchen slide. If you remove the island and have no slide there, I think you could have more traditional tow hauler cargo space, maybe even small golf cart size, and would gain some cargo capacity from losing the slide. My thought against losing the slide, the projector probably hits the aspect ratio on the screen better with the distant the slide provides.

I am really loving seeing some of the innovation going on with some manufacturers in the industry. I love that they are getting rid of the traditional dining areas in favor of utilizing a bar type area for food prep and dining. Interesting concept adding a projector. I love the island/peninsula. Great concept though cuz, why not? Why are we displaying that second TV folks? That makes no sense if there will not even be an option for it. Put a mirror there or something. Overall this looks like a great set up. Would love to see one for half tons. It looks like that could be somewhat easily achieved given the unit can work so well with the slide in. Lop off the flex room and I think we’re about there. Though, admittedly, removing those features does take away a bit of this unit’s “specialness” (

The hidden room is great, especially if I can possibly remove the bunks and use it as a full-time office. I'm a big home theater guy: What's going on with the sound bar over the seating? (insert buzzer sound here) Put the sound bar directly across from the seating where it belongs. Lose the tiny round sink. And why do the RV manufacturers have something against normal be dsizes? At least its not a "princess queen." All of the windows are great, but I'm going to be doing the vast majority of my RV time in Texas so I'll probably be enjoying something else. Here's an Idea! Make this without the top row of windows! Thanks for another outstanding video Uncle Josh!
