Thanks, man! I googled, "Crystal systems for dummies" because I've been having such a hard time relating the rocks I've been collecting to their known crystal system shape to help me identify my specimens. The visuals (your pipe cleaner styrofoam ball models) REALLY helped especially having the names to associate each of them and was totally worth your time and effort. Every time I've attempted to learn these everyone makes it so complicated right from the beginning i was seriously beginning to wonder if i was even capable of trying to learn this stuff because everyone's explanations were so complicated right off the bat. I appreciated your approach - as if we were basically clueless - for me, more like wandering aimlessly amidst pyramidal confusion - without making me feel like, "What? You mean you don't automatically know this?" LoL Thank You!

Hello! I have a question: on 8:39 you say that "monoclinic structure is similar to tetragonal". But wouldn't it be more similar to orthorhombic? In both monoclinic and orthorhombic structures all edges a, b, c are of a different length, while in tetragonal structure a=b≠c. So monoclinic structure is an inclined orthorhombic structure, right?
I even think the structure you show on 8:39 is orthorhombic, judging by the color of the edges.
Thank you so much for the video, I learned a lot and my mood is better now thanks to you 😄
