I seem to sit with some kind of stupid smile on my face while watching Time Team (as someone was so friendly too point out) but can't help it, Time Team is the only program that gives me goosebumps every once in a while.
What an incredible experience to watch this! I'm a descendant of Earl Hugh O'Neill and being able to see the remnants of my ancestor's home like this is amazing!
OK, am I the only one who's gonna talk about Phil's fingernails. I have NO issues with how long they are but please use a nail file(to shape them)! I would even pay for him to get a manicure. Don't misunderstand me, I LOVE this show and Phil is one of my favorite people. I love his character his accent his wild hair & his hat, but everytime they show a close up of him holding sometime...it make me cringe and I totally miss what his talking about. Sooooo...... Phil, please could you use a nail file or in your case maybe make yourself a really cool "flint file"......PLEASE?😘
You obviously don’t understand the process of archaeology. You construct your facts based on what evidence you have, experience and history of other digs and make educated hypothesis.
@@sammom8599 -how nice of you to point out what I “obviously” don’t understand. While I take no issue with the framework you propose, there appears to be a great deal that YOU apparently don’t understand. Like the fact that one can hardly expect to gather sufficient evidence to support ANY firm hypothesis over the course of a single three day dig.........and then presume to immediately draw firm conclusions on the basis of the fragmentary evidence uncovered. For all you, me, or anyone knows, they’ve unearthed the foundation of the compound outhouse. You remind me of an oceanographer stumbling across the wreck of Titanic and concluding that only a storm could break such a huge vessel in half. A very reasonable, but altogether incorrect conclusion based on assumptions drawn from insufficient data.
@@martyzielinski1442 well actually. I’m a trained archaeologist with a degree and several digs so I do know what it takes. Much of their analysis is after the fact (and behind the scenes lab work) in the voice overs given by narrator. And if you listen closely Phil and mick never claim anything without some grounded work. They won’t fabricate. Many of their digs were further dug by other groups and there are actual published reports.

Being from dungannon myself I remember the team being on the hill and I've always wanted to see what they found up there
This is a tricky subject for British and Irish people but very nicely done by time team .

16 c Ireland could be used to launch European control of Britiain. 2021, not a lot changes then.
Easy fix: Get the poms off Ireland.

Is that Castle Caufield? My middle name is Donnelly
A good show as usual, but Mr. Donnelly isn't much of an editor.
He keeps saying "British" when he means "English." Grrr....

“Nail police” now
Stupidest comment I have read. Really? You are worried about his manicure on an archeological dig? Okay Princess. Go sit down.
He is literally digging through dirt, rubble and stone. You try that while keeping your nails perfectly manicured..
He keeps the nails on his right hand long because he plays guitar!! 🙄
So as usual, he digs up a couple of trinkets, and weaves a whole narrative from it. Hard to separate fact from opinion.

Time Team. Ripping up the land for your 'Entertainment'.
You'd have to go back to medieval times to find another video as badly edited as this...
It seems to be the transmission master or something.
I have no problems with editing and frankly appreciate no ads. Well done
