once you consider the context of the album with where travis is in life now i.e astroworld aftermath, Kylie split, losing the Grammys with a project he exhausted all his resources for I think this is his f- you to the mainstream and traditional accolades. The album cover to me represents his fall from good graces of public perception, reminds me of that Toy Story meme when Andy outgrows woody and tosses him in this case the distortion of travis gives the impression he gave it his all and it still wasn’t enough people still turned this is his acceptance of that, utopia isn’t a place it’s a perspective.

I understand that this album is different and something new for travis, but just because something isn't hard hitting doesn't mean it's a bad song, said you were gonna "listen to the whole album" but continued to skip through material that molds this album together. My personal favourite song was telekinesis and you went into the song with super negative energy, future was spitting and the beat was hard, literally took arguably the best feature on the album (SZA) for you to actually give it a chance, not saying that its not okay for you to not like songs, but how're you gonna skip through a travis scott album as a proclaimed "reactor".

youre 100% right! He keeps mentioning "dead beat" at the end of tracks but those pockets of instrumental that take you on a journey is essentially what makes Travis' albums unique and different from the rest. Its okay not to like a song but you hit the nail on the head when you said "the material molds this album together" because in some ways the start and end of each track is the most important part because thats what makes it an album and not just a load of tracks one after the other with no cohesion.

Hot take parasail is one of the best songs on the album dons vocals in the background jus make you float and it’s one of those songs on an album that make you sit there and think. On MY EYES i think the experimental flow is meant to mimic the dream-like atmosphere created by the beat. it’s out of sync and off beat to emulate the hazy nature of our dreams ( since we often don’t remember it) and as it gets closer to the beat switch, it gets clearer and clearer (i.e Bon Iver’s feature) until you eventually “wake up” as the beat finishes transitioning. artistically speaking it’s a really creative move and personally love that track. i feel like travis looked at this more as a project than an album. creative experimentation at his finest

I'd argue both are great parts of the song. A lot of people don't connect with the first half cuz it's so strange, but I love the atmosphere it creates, it feels like what the album cover is imo, ended up being my fav on the album personally
