  • I did this with my AC300, now I try it with my AC200L with TWO B300 expansion batteries. A whopping total of 8,192Wh. Can it backup my critical house loads in an outage? will it work with my Generator for extended run? I show two ways to use it that are not extension cords strung all over, but that works great too!

    I have had my AC200L for two weeks now and it is a great product. However, in Australia at least, the support is almost non existent.

    Just an FYI, as long as you have the right sized cable to not damage stuff, the password for pro mode is 88888888 (super secure I know)

    Thank you for the informative video! What size solar array do you have connected to it? If I install a larger than 1200w array, will it be fine? And only take the 1200w as long as I stay within the V/A ratings for the solar?

    • @DougKremer

      In this video I have it connected to 1690W of panels. The open circuit volts must be under the listed input limit of 145 for the AC200L. I suggest staying 10% or more under to account for cold days. Available panel amps can be more than the 15A that the 200L will take, it will only pull what it needs if available. This practice is known as overpaneling and is very common.

      Awesome! Happy to hear! Is the battery system a heated battery as well for colder placement?

    • @DougKremer
      @DougKremer  2 дня назад +1

      @@complexr My B300 are not heated. There is another battery, the B300S, that is.
      Edit: the internal battery in the AC200L is not heated.

    Hi, I currently have an Ac180. This unit powers 2 fans at about 103W for approximately 9 hours+-. I want a Bluetti setup that can power my Pellet stove in the winter for about 15 hours at night and early morning in the winter. I'm off grid in the winter and rely heavily on gas powered Inverter generators. My pellet stove on startup draws about 400W then settles down to a running of about 230-250W. Is there any Bluetti setup that could run this for that time before i would have to recharge the batteries via Gas powered generators for the next session? I thank you in Advance for any reply. P.S. loved the video and was very informative.

      Oh, forgot to mention Solar and the power grid are of no options for me as i'm in heavy Tree coverage in wilderness.

    • @DougKremer
      @DougKremer  12 дней назад +2

      Ok…. So 250W*15 hours is 8,250Wh. Add some conversion loss and “don’t run it completely flat” and you are at 10-12kWh of battery. The AC200L with two B300 is pretty close to that capacity and is hands-down the most efficient Bluetti with the most battery, good for low loads for long time. The AC300 and AC500 can be expanded more but are also larger inverters with more running loss.

      @@DougKremer Ok great. Yeah the 15 hours is just a rough guess,I was just figuring 8 hours sleep time+- and some wake up time. The exact hours is just a honest guess. I just don't want the stove shutting off during the night and freezing while i'm trying to organize Re-recharging the batteries and starting up the generator to power the stove and start Re-charging while having the morning coffee etc. lol I absolutely love your informative videos and i'm trying to make my very difficult situation as flawless as possible. I truly needed the advice Thank you for the videos and the fast thoughtful response. You have just gained a sub. Thank you very much!

      Thank you so much. I try to be real world use and testing. Others do the laboratory numbers. I do think a 200L as I show it here would treat you well. Point of awareness is the charging speed and standard 15A cord. If you step up to an AC300 or 500 you can get an optional cord to charge at 30A or more if your generator (hopefully inverter) can supply that. My Honda here is a good match for the 200L, it would take about 5 hours to recharge it and the two batteries with no other loads attached.

    Is it possible to turn the B300 batteries upside down so all the connectors are on the left side of you and the batteries could be facing forward even though they're upside down.

    • @DougKremer
      @DougKremer  3 месяца назад +1

      The way they nestle together wouldn't work. which probably wouldn't matter too much. I don't think Bluetti recommends any alternate orientation, I'll check the manual.

    When you power the panel via the interlock, is the AC200L only powering every other breaker since it's only 1 phase 120V output?

    • @DougKremer
      @DougKremer  3 месяца назад +2

      Good question. The cord I plug in connects to both phases. I think I talked about it in a little more detail in the AC300 video backfeeding the house. All breaker spaces are hot with 120V, the same 120V. This is why I turn off all the 2 pole breakers. Best case those loads would not work, worst case they might be damaged.

    Can you recommend a solar panel cord for a distance of approximately 30 feet to connect to the AC200l? Does it have to be a certain gauge wire since the AC200l is 30 feet away from solar panel? Any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated. New to solar and need for my of grid cabin.

    • @DougKremer
      @DougKremer  22 дня назад +1

      My suggestion would depend on the power and amps that you intend to connect. The 200L is capable of drawing up to 15A if your array can make that much, for which I would suggest #10/10ga MC4 extension leads.

    Early AC300s got fried when running with a transfer switch. I wonder if the AC200L would too due to issues with the shared neutral.

    • @DougKremer
      @DougKremer  3 месяца назад +1

      I asked Bluetti support and they said NOT to connect the wall plug while connected to the transfer switch. I don't know if it is an internal limitation, or just because of the standard 15A cord I have. I will ask for more detail.
