"I get in a weird mood when you're (ster is) around." Something I've noticed is that when Jerma feels really comfortable with someone he gets *insanely* competitive about pretty much anything because he trusts the other person to find it as fun as he does. It's actually kind of wholesome.

I don't think criticizing clear, repitive issues with AAA games today is a boomer take at all. People should be more critical of these games so that we can get more quality experiences over quantity of content.
Agreed, it's very boomer actually to just shut up and play it because that's just how it is. But this game got the correct reviews, they deemed it alright. That pretty much covers it.
Yeah the console version of DL2 really really sucks. Dialogue audio hasnt worked since launch, death loops since launch, and other game breaking bugs since launch. Most of the people coping are PC fanboys
You are not wrong. There are plenty of issues, I just think they are barking up the wrong trees. The problems don't come down to cinematics or story, or anything like that, because that argument can be ended by the Mario RPG/God of War example. Everybody has preferences, so they pick and chose on a case by case basis. If they like the story, it's good that it's in the game, if they don't, then it is an industry issue. I'm sure there are plenty of people right now who are enjoying the DL2 story, even if I don't care for it.
Ultimately a story is only the wrong direction when it comes as a detriment to gameplay. And I don't mean gameplay is interrupted by the story, but that the quality of the gameplay is lower, because the publisher decided the story would be more important to spend on. (OoT interrupts the gameplay regularly. everybody remembers the owl, navi, and all the NPCs you had to talk to, but it's widely regarded as one of the best games of all time)
In my opinion, the real issues come down to monetization:
-Day 1 dlcs that normally would've been in the ,,standard edition". Hell, even the fact that there are 8 ,,editions" in every AAA release.
-Gambling
-Pay to win microtransactions in games (not limited to online games)
-Games that function as a service, rather than a single product
just to name a few.
I feel like this is not just pure greed, but also a symptom of a bigger problem, but this is already a wall of text.
TL;DR: Story is not as much of an issue as monetization or making the same game over and over again.

honestly if you told me this game came out in 2009, i'd believe you. the ui, the colour palette, the graphics in general. it all just looks, like, kinda' old.
It's the animations that do it for me, they don't look polished or refined that much

the first one came out in 2015 and looked dated then. now it's 2022 and Dying Light 2 feels like it came out 5 years ago
however, at least the first one was more dumb fun and the co-op wasn't quite as desynced :)
I really see what you mean. Lighting is strangely flat, colours are all super dull and greyed, and everything looks like play dough even though textures are generally really high-res.

The problem is most AAA games now are they are very forgettable. Fun for the most part or with friends, but few are memorable.
I forget sometimes that Jerma is getting up there in age, he's almost like what, 40? crazy to remember he's been doing this for years now.

the problem aren't the stories, but sometimes games just fail to immerse you enough to feel interested on the story, DL2 is a very good example of that

I love this game to death and it was nice to see that jerma and ster actually got to lvl 4 but they started to encounter so many bugs and then started saying the game is comparable to Ubisoft game was really sad 😢
This game is an Ubisoft-esk game though and seems generic af. Also, if I didn't know any better, and you would've told me that this game was released in 2011, I would've instantly believed it.
@@VandergriftMoefies jermas gameplay didn’t really showcase what the game is because ster is constantly skipping cutscenes and are lost at some moments and with the coop being very buggy it’s really not good showcase of how good the game really js. If u have a family or friend who owns dying light 2 u should really give it a try. The parkour is on a different level compared to any mirrors edge game

@@bohxan1746 The story is insultingly bad, I'm glad they're skipping the cutscenes, that's the amount of respect that bullshit deserves. Game's been out for weeks and I still can't fling a throwing knife at an object without it hovering over the thing it targeted instead of actually hitting it. Going out at night is pointless because the howlers glitch out whenever I try to kill them, they summon a chase without being able to die, without actually making a scream sound, without the chase meter showing up, and the howler is just standing there unable to be killed while shit charges at me from all sides.
It was just yesterday that they made it so you can successfully rebind *some* of the commands in the game.
They've already released DLC for it.
You don't need to suck this game's dick and pretend like it's not fucked up. You should have higher standards for fully-released full-price games.

for someone who gets migraines. you would NOT be playing a video game with one . youd be in bed in the dark ina quiet room or on HEAVY drugs migraines do not play. a headache is totally different and can be palyed on.
In physical pain listening to Jerma discuss cholesterol and fat...you CANNOT gain "good cholesterol" from your diet, HDL is just a measure of cholesterol leaving your body.
This is painfully incorrect, HDL and LDL are lipoproteins, which means proteins involved with fat, in this case the fat is cholesterole, and these proteins control how much of it is going to and from the liver for storage or presence in the blood. Dietary cholesterol is NECESSARY for good health, it is an over-consumption of fried foots (think brown color) that leads to imbalanced LDL in the bloodstream to manage it all.
@@RUclipsExecsTouchChildren Really? "Painfully" incorrect? What happens to the cholesterol transported to the liver by HDL? It's excreted or used in synthesis, meaning it's been REMOVED from the part of the body where it is relevant to cardiovascular disease

HDL IS cholesterol, and helps saturated fat (and LDL) leave your body. LDL moves fat around your body and can build up in your arteries. The only things Jerma got wrong were which was good and which was bad, but also which one is in eggs (he said LDL was good and that eggs had it; Actually HDL is good and eggs have it).
