This video is such gold man his son will probably cherish these videos forever RIP taylor hawkins. Shane if you're seeing this I wish the best for you and your family buddy! You will see your father again but dont rush it live and love your live for him!
Damn he plays with the exact same energy and timing as his dad! Just fantastic! Rip Taylor H and Shane to you young man: your father is revered and loved by the entire universe!
Wow Taylor's son is absolutely fantastic. His timing is ridiculously good. Why do I have a feeling he's going to follow in Jason Bonham's footsteps. 2 son's following in their dad's paths. R.I.P. Taylor.
@@paulnoland he did great...but let's not get too carried away. He is still very young and don't even know if that is something he wants to do as an adult
@@gidgetdarcy sure. He was great...but he is 16 years old...it is ridiculous speculate on anything like that now. Who knows if that is even what he wants to do. Or If he will want to do it in 2 years or 10? He is not his father and even though he is a great drummer for being 16 years old, he is nowhere close to the ability to drum professionally for any band. Let him be a kid and figure out shit on his own. If that's what he ends up wanting to do, and he puts forth the effort, who knows, he may be good enough to pursue drumming professionally. I can tell you, without question, right now, he is not anywhere near the level of his father or at the level of most professional drummers.
@@justinkoeberl5797 I never said he was at the same level as his father. Nor that his end goal is to be in the band. I asked if you’d seen the Tribute show because Dave Chapelle talked about meeting Shane for the first time. He asked if Shane was a skater because he was wearing skater shoes. Shane said no, because he doesn’t want to hurt his hands. He said we wants to be a drummer like his father. So yes, he does want to be a drummer and has a passion for it. Yes, he is only 16. But to play with as much passion as he did at the show means he has a very bright future ahead of him. Dave didn’t even start drumming until he was around Shane’s age and Dave himself admitted that Shane is much better than he was at that age.
Well, Shane had an advantage: he was able to start early, train early, with professional equipment, he could see and hear, from a young age he was going with his father (we could watch him in videos, behind the stage, imitating his father) so... however, what we want at sixteen most of the time is not what we want at 25 ...we have to wait and let him be whatever he wants and work for it!
Wow Shane, you had your dad call you badass, I see why, you're your father's son as a drunner but in your own right. Your dad looked so proud . While he sadly is no longer no longer here and our deepest condolences to you and your family,, your dad gifted the world with his music.. He clearly left a legacy in which you and your sisters can uphold.. As a parent myself can say a very proud dad moment forever immortalised on film. You do you Shane knowing your dad will be proud of you, now and as you forge your own style. ❤️🌞🙏
Shane Hawkins on stage plying drums with his dad Taylor Hawkins (RIP)💔🥲 and the members of NHC. This is an absolute gem 💎!! Taylor is so proud of his son..🎶🎤”Shane Hawkins playin’ the drums..”🎶 Thank you for uploading this. Excellent sound and quality video.👏👏👏☮️💟
This is absolutely beautiful. Father and son together on stage. Shane will never forget this. I’m so so sad for the family. Taylor gone far too young. Sending much love to his widow and their beautiful children. RIP TAYLOR 🙏🏻💔🙏🏻💔🙏🏻💔 🇨🇦
Shane is really something else. He has similar energy to his dad. I hope to see him continue in music. What a fun show! And Pat and the FF backup singers in on it..... lucky folks who got to see that show. NHC, like Hawkins' other projects, was really going to be something.... what a great loss to the world, the loss of T.
What a Pity Taylor’s departure , this boy still needs his father, he is very young . God help his mother in his guidance. 🙏🏻He has talent , take care of him .
I’ve been waiting to see this I’ve heard about it so this is the first time I’ve seen it thank you for sharing ❤Shane is really awesome but I seen him at both tribute’s
Shane… my heart goes out to that kid. I met Taylor about 20+ years ago at a Yes appearance at Tower Records in Sherman Oaks. We were both nerding out discussing Yes’ catalogue, and I had no idea who Taylor was. He finally told me and we both laughed hard and kind of bumped each other like bros. What a beautiful guy. So sad.
If Foo Fighters ever go back to the studios Dave Grohl could go back to drums like on the first few albums but if they ever play live again the only one who could sit there is Shane maybe in 4 or 5 years
Yeah I fuckin love that dude for just always "being there" and not making a big deal about himself haha. He was there for Nirvana Unplugged for example! One of the best performances of all time

I agree .mandy Turner
Some beautiful wisdom here.
Hoping Shane maybe the motivation for the Foo Fighters to tour again one day.
💯 ditto,rest easy *”Hawk”* 🥁🤟🏻✨
The kid is so effortless on those drums...amazing!
Shane hits the drums like his father... You will be forever proud of your dad❤
oh my heart is breaking over this.... Taylor was such an incredible human and most importantly he loves his kids so much..I'm devastated...
My man Taylor singing my other man Bowie's song. Magic.
RIP Taylor
I could see his son possibly taking Part in a tribute show after they all have time to grieve
He has his own band already.
And it just Happened at his Dad's Tribute.
He was the Highlight at a Concert FILLED with musical LEGENDS.
And it happened. What a moment.
Intuition correct!

Well said. And Wow seeing Bowie during the Ziggy era must’ve been amazing!
Sadly and tragically ‘famous last words’
Soooo many phones.
Hawkins jnr’s well and truly got it!
Too soon to say that. But he deserves to be in his dad's place if Foo Fighters continue to exist
Not a bad idea at first hearing...
Whoever was in charge of the soundboard that night should get a job at the gas station instead
RIP Taylor, gone to soon
i just saw that... explode in tears!

Taylor looks like a fan of some of the more "extracurricular "medications here....
Taylor couldn't afford to get Dave Grohl so he called up his son to play this gig instead LOL
The blonde back-up "singer" is beyond annoying.
