I'm Not against his opinion but its the constant shit stirring that annoys me, started with PED letter that is supposedly sent by pacquiao, he finds a way to talk shit about pacquiao no matter what..constant personal vendetta and i'm not paying for this shit. i cant stand jealousy like this.

Teddy Atlas knows more about boxing than any expert and commentator and any of you cry-babies below. He has a point.
Teddy is truly a historian of boxing, respect to him for that. but, his predictions on big fights (close odds) over the last ten years really seem to be off. I therefore question his credibility as an analysis.

teddy atlas keeps saying manny hasnt had over 100+ plus fights,, ray leonard only had 40 fights and people call him one of the GOAT ,,,ALI only had about 60 so did hagler,,,whittaker and so so
Teddy made an accurate statement. His wieght division in particular is rich with boxing phenoms dating back from the mid 1850's. The issue is that Manny is being compared by people who are not giving history an accurate look. If your comparing him to boxers of all time..Manny wouldn't crack the top 50 in his weight division. But the comparison are being made my illetrate boxing "experts".

Why is that when someone brings up a legitimate point regarding Manny's quality of oppostion, it's automatically tagged "hate"? There's a difference between a Boxing Fan and a Pacquiao Fan. As soon as Manny came to the surface, all the Manny fans magically transformed into Boxing Experts and a guy like Atlas whose been hands on in the sport & training champs for decades, don't know what he's talking about? Dear teddy atlas here is a list of good to great boxers that pac man has beaten. Juan Manuel Marquez, Shane Mosely, Antonio Margarito, Joshua Clottey, Miguel Angel Cotto, Rickey Hatton, Oscar de la Hoya, David Diaz, Marco Antonio Barrera, Eric Morales , I don't think Oscar de la Hoya is all that and then some.
Atlas is a bit nuts for claiming that Pac is not great because the old school fighters fought more. Well DUH! Hyping a PPV takes time, which is why guys fight once or twice a year!

I think Teddy's ranking is his own ranking system. He is entitled with his opinion, but to discredit an athlete and deny his accomplishments, is a bit perplexing. I do agree however, that comparing athletes of the past and the present is unfair on both sides. One thing, however that might be hard for him or for a lot of people to agree on is the Pacman's contribution to the popularity of the sports, as Ali and Tyson on their own era, including another boxer he also deny respect, Hopkins.
compubox will have floyd go down as one of the most dominant boxers of all times. people always say guys like sugar ray robinson or ali were the best, i can make a case for ali but how many people here can truely say they saw robinson cant say how great he is from clips on youtube
Teddy isn't hating at all, he's just giving an honest opinion based on Manny's solid but not spectacular body of work. He acknowledged his natural talent, but he is smart enough no to get caught up in all the hype. He's been around a long time and has seen countless great fighters, not to mention his historic knowledge, as exemplified by referencing Henry Armstrong. Manny has been good for the sport, and may still do more great things, but right now he's not top 20.

@drubnedarb Okay, but hold on, Teddy trained Michael Moorer who became the ONLY left handed heavyweight to win the title and he also trained Mike Tyson. Why would he be jealous of Pacquiao? I dont think he is "assasinating" his character, he is only giving his opinion (which is a valid opinion given his boxing expertise). The Mayweathers? Floyd's dad and uncles were former champions and are trainers right now; how are they uneducated when it comes to boxing?

teddy has good reason to hate on pacquiao and roach. before the pacman vs barrera fight he tried to steal roach job as pacman's trainer but the pacman refused to part ways with roach. now success and money that roach and pacquiao has drove atlas to jealousy even inventing the magic e-mail with tim smith. roach and atlas had thier own prefight scuffle before one of wild card's fighters scheduled fight. roach calls atlas nothing more than a gossip boy. as a trainer, atlas is no roach

Ufortunately today in age stating your opinion or telling the truth is hating if ppl disagree with you smh.Respect pac even though not a huge fan,any true fan knows this sport is stacked with great fighters from all eras.So ranking pac below top 25/30 is not a knock on him but praise to fighters who fought more everybody & more often.
@drubnedarb I see your point but training 2 undisputed HW champions is what gets people in the hall of fame; Plus, Teddy trains heavyweights, not fighters in lower weight classes. Floyd learned how to fight from his father and uncles so that would mean they know boxing.

@PhenomKBR in the second fight with hearns they were both out of there prime. the first time in both there primes leonard knocked hearns out. Pacquiao does not have a win that compares to leonard beating hearns yet or his win over duran. Pacquiao is a great fighter but cannot be compared to leonard until he fights floyd. Leonard holds wins over hagler,hearns,duran,benitez there is no comparison with manny yet

@PhenomKBR Who cares about 8 division titles when there are now 17 wt divisions, multiple sanctioning bodies and he's fighting for VACANT titles vs previously KO'D fighters @ catchweights. Winning with training wheels doesn't come close to real multiple division champs like Armstrong, Leonard, Duran, Arguello, etc. Those guys fought and beat PRIME fighters for real titles with no weight restrictions and no WBA, WBC, WBO, IBF, IBO B.S. Those guys fought and beat the man who beat the man, etc.

as a trainer atlas is not as good as roach and will hate on anybody that roach trains. atlas was not succesful in stealing roach job as the pacman's trainer which he did before the pacman vs barrera fight. the pacman refused to part ways with roach, atlas had been hating on the pacman ever since. i guess the money awards that roach has and the pacman is really eating atlas.
