even when i hate "review videos" i love your objective look on the sets, honest and real comments, creative and funny way to modify to fit in your city! that is for me the best thing in your city - still original, creative and "your own".
Love that set but I'm not getting it. I can see it shine in your city! Looking forward to part 2 tonight, and congratulations to Mrs Hood on her new job!
Hi Robin, mega fan commenting. Plastic bags in lego sets are recyclable at large supermarkets. They have the 4 in the triangle sign. Please share with your audience. Loving your weekly vids xxxx. thank you
Even though I've seen this been built and palced in other peoples cities, it still feels different with your perspective on things! Love it. Can't wait to see in finished and placed in your city
Hey Robin I'm VERY happy to see you share the build progress with us on this set. It's something I did not get (couldn't justify it to myself!) but I reallllllyyyyy liked the design. I am excited to see you complete it, and especially to place it in the city.
One of the things you could do once you have installed the Station is to extend the platform behind the modulars. It would be easy considering you have the platform attached to the baseplates with the tracks. It would also be a little more “realistic”, fill in some “dead space”, as well as allowing more than 1 or 2 passenger cars to access the platform. Hope this makes sense.
I considered that but looking at the backs of the other modulars it may mess with them. So it's a maybe. To be fair it'll be pretty hard to see that side of things either way!
@ I guess that depends on how far back on the baseplates the Modulars that you place there are. Most official ones leave a 4 stud gap between the back of the building and end of the Baseplate. This area could be left as is and the platform would only need to be on the baseplates with the track. This area, although not overly visible, could be used for monorail supports or for a couple of little scenes where Brick Nottingham’s low level scum perform illegal activities out of sight of both the “big time” criminals and the SSP.
Lovely video. This modular will look amazing in Brick Nottingham. Speaking of modulars i think it'd be amazing if you did another custom modular like the fast food corner one you did 4 years ago. Custom modulars always look better in a city build IMO since it adds a personal touch.
Couldn't agree more. It's only the time that's holding me back. My mall took ages to design but I reckon a normal modular could be quicker if it's not too fancy. Of course the Old Town will be similar in a way but a bit lower rise. Hopefully I'll have another before too long!
@@RobinHoodBricks i totally understand it. Making custom modulars is a timely endeavor. I hope you can find the opportunity to squeeze one in at some point. In any case love ur videos!
Oh that looks so good already. You might be right tho that it needs a bit more height, those arches on the front do look a bit low. and it would also solve the shadow problem of the awning.
I’ve been designing my own station today, this might help for some inspiration. But without money for it I’m most likely gonna build a digital city first haha
This looks very good. Some of the best lego designers do not wear Lego employee badges! Cant help but think there should be a gumball machine by the news agents though.
Those bdp sets do use tons of parts in the base. There are some official sets that do that too and sometimes it's like wow a third of my money just went into making a board. Even the orient express and crocodile locomotive recently have tons of parts wasted on display stands. I don't need a track that a train (that didn't come with a motor anyway) couldn't run on anyway. There's no way to complete a loop with those built tracks.
How’s the city coming along? Seems like it’s taking an awful long time to assemble it. I would have been more impatient to set it up I guess. New Lego room space and all.
Doing videos takes almost all my time on top of family and a full time job. I wish it could be faster too. I'm also planning a lot to make it super awesome!

So true. I do not want a cookie cutter city that's the same as any other!
Congratulations, Mrs. Hood on your new gig! I hope you love it!!!!
She's excited. Thank you!
Thank you!! Xxx

It will be buried in a heap of modulars with a race going on around it!

Can't wait myself. A really good one!

I love that even if it does not fit in my personal (shelf) city - the roof design is genius
All in a tight space too!

What a great set. I do like those blue awnings. They draw ones eyes to the area.
Congratulations to mrs hood on her new job. Best wishes.
Thank you so much, Cecilia!
Thank you Cecilia xx
I love this set. I wish I had a chance to buy it😄 looking forward to the ammendments
You might be able to get it reasonably on eBay. There's no crazy rare pieces if you don't need the stickers. Good luck!
Love the plaid floor patterns 😅. Excellent build all around, but I'm sure you will embellish it further 😂.
I hope so!
Wonderful video chap - thankyou
Very welcome!
Oh nice work on setting it back. I did not think of that haha. Damn i just started building. Indeed my trai n is a bit far away now.
You could also extend the platform depth!
@RobinHoodBricks yeah that's also my idea or set it back as a whole. I have my modulars on 'fake' mils.
I just love this, even though I'm not a train gal. Fantastic!
It is a good one!
Oh that looks so good already.

Being surrounded by other modulates will be the real test. I suspect I'll need to revisit it!
Congratulations to mis. Robinhood bricks on her new job!
I'll pass that on, thanks!
Thank you!
enjoy all the holidays.
Thanks. You too!
I like that you replace parts that are underutilized, ive done the same😂 , looks like a nice set regret not buying.
It really is. That was just too many good bits to bury!
I’ve been designing my own station today, this might help for some inspiration. But without money for it I’m most likely gonna build a digital city first haha
Go for it, but the urge to do it in bricks may become too strong to bear!

I can add one but that's the end that will be tucked away so let's wait and see!

Yes, they almost need the base as an optional extra. At least I can use these ones!

Wouldn’t a change of 5 from a 10£ note mean that… you know… the glas of wine costs… 5? 😂
Or £9.95!
maybe on the platform also putting 2x2 with stud so that you can putting mini figure with their story better?
Yes, apart from this is gonna be really hard to see in the city so no point filling up the platform too much!
@@RobinHoodBricks true not so busy just maybe 1 or 2 figures extra? and maybe also inside the main hall?
You should have the guy with the luggage have ginger hair and he is sweating because he see a SSP officer across the street.
Haha that's very funny!
dang it robin stop making me buy more Legos i have to many now i need this train station
This is also my problem, haha. Enjoy!
Robin can you make one of the electrical reels on the cargo train blue instead of green like they are like different types of cables
Sounds good. I've added two to my wanted list. Might be a while!
Thx
Hi
Yo!
