Tom, who was in town to celebrate the release of Venom: Let There Be Carnage, sat down with to answer some questions while hanging out with his canine friends from Battersea Dogs Home.

That's exactly why I have seen all his films. Some, many years later, but since Inception and Legend, I thought this actor is a genius, and mad sure I looked for his movies and watched them. If you haven't seen Warrior or him as Alfie Solomons in Peaky Blinders, tune in.

I have seen dozens of videos of Tom interacting with dogs and cannot recall one dog growling at him. Dogs know if a person is good or bad so the fact that so many dogs have shown love to him proves how good and kind a man he truly is.
We can always see Tom's soul shining through when there's dog' around him.
We have so much to learn from animals.

@@phdwho9656 Awww,thank you!! His name is BaLoo, he's a Jackie crossed Shih Tzu . He was found as a stray at the age of 5 months old, owner was found and no longer wanted him. At that age, BaLoo already had 4 owner's me being the fifth. Because of that, he has separation anxiety, can't leave him home alone cus he cries really loud as if he was being beaten it's so sad!
He's a great pup, so smart and loves to learn, I'm very lucky to have him.
He's 7 yrs old now and he's mine forever and ever. 🐾🥰🐾

I have a friend who was walking her dog on the beach and she happened to come across Tom walking his dog. Can confirm he is legit down to earth as he approached her to talk about normal dog walker shit when he realised she knew who he was.

I watched that movie in a very distant, almost completely empty theater and yeah I loved it. Truly a hidden gem.

Tom Hardy with animals is so wholesome, makes me so happy to see someone loves animals so much. we need more people like that.
You can tell he loves the company of the dogs. This is the most I've seen him being goofy and not so serious during an interview. Love this
He’s only really serious in interviews with American interviewers. They ain’t as fun over there.

@@olgastanisawska9883 If the dog doesn’t know you, then petting the dog’s head is incorrect (meaning, the dog probably won’t like it). It’s better to let the dog sniff you & your hand first, then pet the dogs chest. A hand over the head can be perceived as threatening.

@@olgastanisawska9883 I don’t know what Martin Rabe meant specifically about this video - I’m just saying that in general, there are approaches dogs like and dislike. Dogs are individuals, though, so perhaps you know a dog that doesn’t have a preference, and that’s cool. My dogs definitely liked the low hand vs the high hand approach from strangers.
I love his lips, the accent and acting are a bonus, bonus.

The way Holywood loves to portray muscled strong men as tough and insensitive, in order to set some sort of lame standard for men in the world, tell them to be product of toxic masculinity and never share their true selves.
BUT here we have lovely lovely Tom who destroys that stereotype with one sentance , one look, one sweet move, one smile.

The way he said telling his child bedtime stories was one of the best times for him and also how he knew books by name♥️ he's not afraid to show softer vulnerable side of him and god damn it i absolutely adore that in a guy.
How he treats dogs, give them their space, not touching them too much, suffocate them like other celebs do often.

As someone aspiring to be an actor, Tom Hardy is one of those actors that I would love to meet and to have some sort of opportunity to ask him a load of questions. He really strikes me as someone I'd like to learn from and who could teach me a good few things. And not just about acting, about life lessons as well.
Tom is so lovely here with these dogs, you can tell he'd sooner just spend time sitting with these beautiful dogs than ask questions. If you want to put Tom in a good mood interview him with dogs. You may not get to ask that many questions but just seeing him being this happy is worth it.

He absolutely hates being interviewed. He's talking so quietly and really doesn't want to give much away. He's such a private man and always finds a way to side step the question. He's awesome. He's troubled though, a troubled soul indeed.

Is he troubled? He's a successful actor with a wife (who is also a fantastic actor) and a couple of kids and a couple of dogs. He's just shy in interview situations because they're not his thing - they're just something he's contractually obligated to do.
I think he is much less troubled than he was. He has surpassed his addiction and now has many things to look forward to :)
It seems to me that when he began to seriously engage in jiu-jitsu, he became calmer. Sits quietly. Doesn't itch. Playing sports did Tom good❤
