I made a sheath-style slip for my Opinel No 7. I wrapped my knife in plastic kitchen wrap and folded a piece of wetted leather lengthwise over it and clamped it to a board to dry to offset the tab. When dry, I riveted the tab closed with a stainless deep pocket carry clip on the outside to finish it. The butt of the knife sticks out of the slip and my pocket about 1" for easy access.

That Camo one is SICK! It matches the pair of shorts I wear every day perfectly. Mind you, I just visualized it in my mind cause I couldn't actually see it in the video.. That Johnny on the Spot slip is TURRIBLE!!! It looks like the leather case that my 81 year old father keeps his reading glasses in 🤣🤣 I got that with the knife too, and it went straight into the drawer with all of my other unused GEC slips haha. Nice job on the slips, you do excellent work! I can't believe the artwork on that beaver slip! I can make a decent slip but my artistic ability doesn't go past stick figures 😅
Rookie question- I’ve noticed you always put the knife in the slip with the blade facing a certain way (spine to the right as you’re looking at it). Is there a reason for that?
@@richterknives BTW that episode #6 where you are putting the lanyard on your Viper and you are making the torque wrench noises and keep bringing in the glue from off camera- oh man I was crying I was laughing so hard! Who says you can’t learn and have fun at the same time!
