I love my airhawk but I wish the designers would change a couple of things. One is the footrest. It doesn't move out of the way at all. I had it removed because there were too many times I nearly fell because of it. And it beeps too much and too loud. It isn't necessary to beep so often and trying to come in or leave quietly from a public place is impossible since it beeps every time it turns on or off.

Adjustability of legs, arms, drive controls and foot rests are also key to having a comfortable and problem chair.

Telepathic Heart, The Airhawk weighs 41 lbs without the battery. The battery weighs 5lbs. With the independent charger, the batteries can be charged outside of the chair, otherwise the batteries need to be in the chair to be charged.

Hello Michell, My 9 year old nephew had an easy time with the Airhawk and he is around 4.5 feet tall. The joystick can be mounted on the left or right, or with an attendant control bracket, on the back of the chair.

the batteries can be removed taking 10 lbs off making it only 31 lbs
