@@fab_fourr this is what I have done as shown in the video. The ground pin is a separate conductor and I have a ground wire separately soldered to the shielding. This is a quasi-balanced setup, I could technically run it fully balanced from a balanced phono output like the one I have in my modified turntable that uses balanced RCA.
@@henrykausmiler3888 well, you don’t really need two conductors for the straight ground-to-ground on the plugs. Also, the ETI rca plug has a much smaller are to solder the ground. Hope this helps ;)

Why you did not try to use all wires of this cable?
