I remember seeing this killing of Shireen on Al Jazeera. It shook me. It was hard to square my upbringing telling me to support Israel but this was my breaking point and I have chosen to speak up that Israel is not this perfect country I was taught to support. It has been hard to have all that change so drastically.

I am a journalism student and traveled to Israel in 2019 to learn about conflict reporting as part of my master's degree at Wits University in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The harrassment and racist undertones in the questions I was asked at their embassy and at Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel-Aviv had me really shaken. Israel has a very sour relationship with its neighbors and needs to fix this. They also need to stop the killing of journalists

Israeli police dressed up in riot gear had the gall to actually interrupt her own funeral procession by hitting the pallbearers with batons. This was because, in a video from the scene, Arabs are heard shouting: “We hit a soldier; he is lying on the ground.” Since no Israeli soldier had been hurt, however, the suspicion was that this was Abu Akleh.
Moreover, Honest Reporting’s translated commentary on this video contains another crucial line. After the shouts about a soldier on the ground, there’s a further shout: “It’s a woman.”
Hamas, which immediately removed her body, rejected Israel’s suggestion of a joint investigation to establish who did kill her and are refusing to hand over the bullet they removed from her body while insisting that the Israelis fired the fatal shot.
By contrast, the Israelis have made no assertions they can’t back up. They have pointed out the obvious fact that the truth can’t be established unless Hamas operatives bring forward relevant evidence. The fact that they are refusing to co-operate suggests that they have something to hide.

There are many questions left behind her death.

The sharpshooter aimed for her face just below the helmet to ensure that she was killed. Moreover, the shooter(s) tried to prevent others from helping the mortally wounded journalist by shooting at them while they were clearly attempting to rescue her by crying "Ambulance!" several times. The angle of the shot originating from the Israeli soldiers' side and eyewitness accounts (including that of an older male journalist who was shot in the back) should make it clear that Israel is 100% responsible for this heinous and dastardly act that they have tried to obfuscate with deliberate misinformation.
At her first sentence she is blaming Israel for doing it. How does she know it? Was she there and saw it with her own eyes? She was told about it by the Arabs there? The United States should end military aid to Israel.

4. Military aid to Israel is illegal under the Leahy Law because of Israel's human rights violations. Any aid to Israel is illegal under the Symington amendment which prohibits aid to nations with nuclear weapons that have not signed the nuclear non-proliferation treaty and do not permit inspections of their nuclear sites

At her first sentence she is blaming Israel for doing it. How does she know it? Was she there and saw it with her own eyes? She was told about it by the Arabs there?
