I am a 77yo retired priest whose maternal grandparents were from Sicily - Catania…and I learned my Italian from my grandmother. Every time I hear “Amuni”. I laugh with a tear. What is it with Italians and explosions. From our place in calabria we see fireworks nearly every night. Love it. Glad u r taking time for fun. In the end you will look back and smile. I hope!

Oh my. Well, I definitely heard the “we are DONE” tone in your voices this week, and I can’t blame you. The IKEA tale would have sent me over the edge…so I admire your patience and fortitude! We moved from So Cal to a small(er) town a little north of San Luis Obispo in California, and while there is joy in our town, I have NEVER seen more joy than you’ve got going on in yours! Wow!!! I love all the confetti and fireworks! I hope you have a wonderful and productive week!!

So, at that church … we’ve seen fireworks on more than a couple of occasions - right? And now - whatever this is. Do they have time for services? Between the setting up for the next pyrotechnic event and the clean-up - Jeesh! And there’s a full crowd every time. OTT!
Lol. There are five different churches that do the same sort of thing in this little town of 8,000. Crazy, huh? We love it.

It’s hard for me to understand what on earth all the hallaballoo is about but I’m sure being front and centre was rather exciting 😂. I know these are hard questions, but they are real life serious issues? Do you have running water? From what source , Where do you shower now? Where do you use the toilet..,,when I was in a situation like this I would just pee down the hill…Also, I heard Scility can have some 100 degree and humid weather…do you have A/C? Heat now is a serious issue…can’t sleep in it ,,, wears you out

Makes you wonder if some young industrious-type moved there and started a renovation/building business - you know, one were things got done on a schedule with solid, unbroken bits - wow! You'd never run out of work! I'm so glad you've got your heads on straight and can take the good with the bad. I can't imagine how you've maintained your sense of humor, but I'm glad for it.
