Hi Keilan, thank you for sharing your time, your passion and talent. If I may suggest something to you is a wrap your it with the piece of paper so the clay will not stick to it or you can use stainless steel straw. Jola
Love them!!! I absolutely love Cernit metallic. The mica partials are so much smaller than other brands, except Pardo I think. Cernit solid softener is a bit pricy and, for me, it takes a good bit to soften really dry clay. I actually take a big chunk is Cernit translucent, slice it into about 1/4 inch slices. Then I put a good amount of Cernit Magic Mix (the liquid clay softener) on each slice and stack the slices. Pop the pile into a baggie and leave it for a few days. Then I go back and add more Magic Mix. I do make it super super soft, much softer than the solid Cernit clay softener. I’m sure you could use any brand of liquid clay softener. It takes a very small amount of my blob to soften even very crumbly clay. It ends up being much cheaper than buying the bars of clay softener. I use it in all brands of polymer clay. Thank you so much for your tutorials! Love them all! Can I have the name of the Facebook group? To follow the link I have to sign into my fb and I don’t remember the password and I would have to dig to try to find it. Lol
Thank you so much June 🥰 That is my only problem with cernit metallics, a few passes through the machine and it tends to harden and stiffen (I should say nothing being an ambassador lol). I add translucent to all clays and most times just adding the translucent works. I have the magic mix as well but for the video the bar was easier to show. I never thought about leaving it in a baggie. Thank you that tip! The group is KeiPfr Subscriber Group (yes, I need to think of a better name). Here's the link facebook.com/share/7qwoioL71nzdTjXM/ ❤️
I really like this techique and the way you present. Thank you so much. I wonder, could you tell us where you purchase your cone endings? they are lovely. I live in spain and am having a hard time finding those endings. Thank you so much. I will see you on facebook, too! O
My favorite is the first pink/tan one! Have you tried starting the crackling before putting the cracked clay on the backing clay? Then you can continue crackling, but I think you will have a better chance to see the backing clay peeking through.
Thanks for the suggestion 🥰 Actually I was thinking of trying that, and also slightly curing the underside as well, before putting it on the backing clay. Problem is the bottom needs to be raw or there would be too much crackle and the sheet would fall apart. I plan to experiment though with some scrap clay 😉 I wish I took notes when I made the first one, but I made it on a whim and didn't pay much attention until it was out of the oven lol!
I love this technique...it is very elegant. It transmit a feeling that I would like to communicate in my pieces-I thank you so much for sharing this tutorial. I was looking for ways to convey . I also find this very elegant. Could you please tell us where you purchase your cone end caps please? I live in Spain and am having trouble finding these cone end caps. Thank you in advance.
Thanks Shari 🥰 Yes, I have seen others use a soda can. I do have a glass item I use for doming, but I use this silicone one as it's wide and only slightly domed. With gently coaxing it works in the end.
_Show and tell_ would be _Montre et Raconte_, i think. We don’t actually use this idiom in French, we use “faire un exposé”, which admittedly doesn’t have the same ring to it nor does it have the same meaning, hélas. :)

Thank you so much 🥰
Lovely technique. If I had to choose I’d say the second and fourth are my favorites. I guess I like the softer crackle effects.
Thank you Suzan 🥰 Less heat = softer the effect. I hope you give it a try and post in the group 😉
I like this look and your demonstration style. I'm eager to try this.
Thank you Kathy ❤️ The black & silver pendant is one of my all time favourites!

I have seen others using soda can bottoms for doming clay may adhere better than silicone.
