Hi , great review of the HB, I’m looking for some advice, I’m going to buy 2 of the Harley Benton PowerPlant ISO-1AC Pro Modular and chain them together, pretty straightforward, but the do come with an EU IEC Power Supply, the adapter is massive, will a good quality UK IEC kettle cable do the job? Thanks
Good question. I believe so! Just double check the required voltage of the unit is the same as our national voltage output. But I'm pretty sure all the European units are the same inside, tbh.
Hey man, I’ve been interested in these and I saw that these are exactly the same as Vitoos. Would you say it’s worth getting the AC models over the classic Iso-12? I see that the only differences is the IEC cable vs DC cable, along with losing 2 outputs!
I have both units, as it happens. They're both very good and I don't think you'd be disappointed with either of them. However, I always prefer to have an IEC cable connection over a regular DC input. It just feels more durable and less likely to accidently get pulled out or something. Hope that helps?
You're welcome. And yeah, I guess you're right! Either way, it's a great unit. I use it for all my videos, as it's ideal for powering my loop pedal, Amp Academy, Behringer reverb (to add a subtle Room reverb to the audio), as well as whatever pedals I'm demoing.
Is the 10Ac compatible with the smaller ones? Like can you connect the iso 1 ac pro with the 10Ac pro and have 15 isolated outputs? Or are only the smaller ones with the name „modular“ really compatible? I’m confused because they are sold as one series but the 10 ac isn’t named „modular“ .
Sorry, I've only just seen this. Tbh, I'm not sure if you could run this at the end of a modular power setup...but I would assume that as long as the 10AC was getting the correct voltage and amperage, it should work! I'll have to test that idea sometime...
The USB out is good for a light for your board, but I use the USB out on my power supply to power a "moukey mamx3" stereo mixer. Very useful little thing to have a USB out!
@@PedalExperiments Thank you so much. Also, polarity reversal cables..wow I never even knew about these!! Great to know, thank you. I'm setting up a studio and wasn't sure. Thanks again :D
The regular Pro models use an 18v DC power input to supply the unit, while the AC Pro range all use a chunky, 3-prong, kettle lead. Also, the two product ranges have slightly different options for current and voltage supplied from the power outputs. Beyond that, I don't think there's much difference in terms of quality and performance. 👍

@@PedalExperiments I see, that helps man. Any of them have problems yet? I'm probably gonna buy in a couple of minutes haha
@tiuditto Nope, I've had no issues! I say go for it. 😎👍🏼
Thanks for the review. Some mention that output isolation is not enough and you need ground isolation.
In your case it's sufficient

Wrong

Good shout! I hadn't thought about a board light...
Hello. I have a question. I have bunch of synths running 9V 300mA plugs, I was wondering would one of these be able to power a few of them?
Yes, absolutely. As long as they require DC power!
You might need polarity reversal cables, if any of them use a centre positive power jack.
@@PedalExperiments Thank you so much. Also, polarity reversal cables..wow I never even knew about these!! Great to know, thank you. I'm setting up a studio and wasn't sure. Thanks again :D
Not a problem! Happy to help. 😊👍
Will it run a line 6 m5? thanks
Absolutely!
Thanks Does it need a different cable or adaptor for the line 6 like other power adaptors?
@stanmuso1 Nope! That pedal uses a standard 9v DC input.
Just use one of the 500mA outputs to ensure it gets enough current to function properly. 👍🏻
Hi, I have some Way Huge pedals, can I use this powerplant and which gates can I use? (250, other?) Thanks Joost
Yes, you can use this no problem.
Any noise gate will be good, but I recommend something that has an effects loop, like the EHX Silencer.
can anyone explain to me the difference between the iso pro and the isoac pro

can anyone explain to me if the outputs are individually separated?
Not sure what you mean?
They're isolated outputs, if that answers your question? Although I already mention that in the video. 🤔
ah ok maybe I didn't hear right thanks for the reply @@PedalExperiments

Damn. Ouch! 😬
Thanks man 🙏🏽
