- Hey friends! CEN Racing M-Sport Ford Puma Rally 1 gets a 7075 Aluminium Steering assembly UPGRADE! Yeah! It was installed with a little work however! Stripped screws are annoying. Here is how I got it free and installed the new Upgraded Steering assemble from Hobby Details.
I hope you enjoy my Video -Helpful and Funny! ( At least I laughed throughout it) I don't take things too seriously here, it is all about the Fun and creative outlet this hobby provides.

Rock on!
Thank you very much for sharing. Beautiful video 👍
Hey thanks! My pleasure!
@@MauzyrockRC You're welcome friend 🙂
Yup. Looks good!!! Always a good upgrade. Probably adds a little weight maybe? Mental Note. When using your grinding wheels. They get worn down to the smaller diameters. Most people throw them away. I keep them just for this purpose. Smaller diameter wheel = less damage to the frame. Just thought I would mention it. :) Excellent video once again
Awesome to hear. It was pretty light bit of kit, maybe a gram or two heavier. I thought there may have been bearings included... alas nope. Oh yeah, I never thought about keeping the worn down cut off wheels, the one I used was pretty worn, and yeah I think I made much smaller a gash in the chassis than a full sized one. Good tip! Thanks so much!
Possibly broke due because CEN not using a servo saver …nice upgrade though 😎🏁
Yup. Agreed, however a beefier assembly is always better :)
Best start to a video ever 😂 You crack me up. Keep up the good work 👍🏻
Haah! Awesome. Mission achieved! Thank you!!
Belle job tu parle bien l'anglais moi pas dutout
Ah merci. Je suis un rare Terre-Neuvien Bilingue ;)
I installed the steering assembly upgrade today. After assembling the three pieces at 4:10 there is more play than with the original plastic part. I wish the holes in the rod connecting the bellcranks were a tiny bit tighter.
Oh! I did not notice any more or less slop on mine. That is too bad though. Can you make a lexan shim or something to take up the slack?
@@MauzyrockRC Good idea! I noticed the play is less once everything is fully installed. Will check how it drives and add a shim if required. The servo mount upgrade is next.
@@sumerland78 Cool. I have only had a chance to run mine 2 times since winter started. I think the servo may be a weak point. So maybe that will get swapped then I'll see about other upgrades too :)
Mauzy ! Man, this stripped screw is the worst but you did fine with that sh... ahaah take care and awesome vid. Have fun with that car ( when the weather allows you to :D )
Hey thanks! Maybe some Ice rally?? -20 celcius is too cold for RC for me lol! Merci!
Take my strong hand…… 😂
🤘😂🤘
Nice looking and tough upgrade for it! Should not have any more issues with that in there!
Oh she’s a beauty! 7075 should hold up as longs as I dont smash all the parts around it 🤣😂🤣 Cheers!
Good upgrade, needed on bigger scale
Ya, hated to do it, but it was necessary...
Your tool was stripped not the screw you can clearly see also an MiP tool would of removed it no problem and you used a ball end hex which is only used for tight angles.
Hey, so I did use my MIP driver, and another hex driver and then the ball hex. the screw was totally stripped. Thanks for the input though.
Wot other upgrades are there for this that u know of? I’d love some off road tyres if u know any that would fit.
What I know of so far is hobbydetailsretails.myshopify.com/collections/cen-racing-1-8-rc-car-upgrades-parts
As for tyres, I am going to try the ones from my HPI WR8. I think the HExs are the same.
Can you drop a link to the part ? I need it
I found them on this site

Hey dude! I’m trying to find that part but not lucky. You can get it on the US? It seems is a Chinese company. Thank you
