I thought this might be one of those quick upcycles you see on RUclips, which look cute in a picture but aren’t well-made enough to last-but when you started serging edges and making your own bias tape, I was amazed!! ​@@seungminsforeheadyourarelyseeThe yellow fabric was used to bind the arm holes to keep the fabric from fraying and to provide some stretch to make that curve smooth. It was also used as a facing (I think that's the word?) near the top of the dress to add weight and make the neckline lie flat. It might also provide extra strength near the straps since they have to carry the weight of the dress.
