the power in Ian's voice here is amazing. I saw them on this tour at the Wallace Hockey Arena in Fitchburg MA. I met a beautiful young woman up front and we were really chatting it up nice when the show started with this song. The throngs seethed and writhed and I tried to hold onto her small soft hand - and she was trying back - but, alas, she was swallowed and I never saw her again. Total bummer.
This band, and song, have such an integral part of my entire being. It’s so cool watching folks discover them these days. Such an important song with an even more important message.
i saw them every time they ever played Nashville. and several times in other places. honestly, they were my role models as how I conducted myself and did business as a working, travelling musician. still heroes to me.
I saw them in Tampa Fl just before this show. It was the best show of my entire life. Well l, tied with the Offspring touring for the ingntion albumn. It’s really close.
it was... as a 19 year old learning how to put a band together and conduct life as a musician with some fucking INTEGRITY there could be NO better role models! We wound up opening for several Dischord bands over the years, always amazing people and shows!!!!
Ten years in and only one downvote. John, can you imagine the troll level that one downvote is? OMG. God downvotes you. Wait, it's all Fugazi? Always has been.
Yeah whoever down voted is a moran... They probably do everything the government tells them to. Like GTFOH with that dislike! Fugazi blasts their ass outta here....with that nonsense!!!!
I think it's less about PROMOTING THE KILLING OF THE INNOCENT AND DEFENSELESS and more about the idea of pro-choice and women's freedom when it comes to abortion
There is something very beautiful in this bass line and calming at the same time
Seriously, the bass line is what pushes this song from great to genius. Love the chill bass riff while all hell is breaking loose.
best band ever, tight unit.

i was lucky enough to see fugazi a few times down south when i was a clueless punk teenager. one of those bands that stirred my soul.
Fugazi will always REMAIN MY FAVORITE BAND OF ALL TIME! I was lucky enough to see them in Concert 5 times! Yes they are AMAZING!!!!

Mean
Post punk forgot about Fugazi
Great music. Too bad the lyrics are touting the virtues of killing the innocent and defenseless.
Right, cause you know exactly what the fuck they were writing about and thinking at the time. Prick
I think it's less about PROMOTING THE KILLING OF THE INNOCENT AND DEFENSELESS and more about the idea of pro-choice and women's freedom when it comes to abortion
You don't know what the band stands for if you say something ignorant like that. They're for human rights and justice...and Truth
I'm so glad I discovered this band when I was impressionable and not a know it all shit bag like now.
