    I am a school custodian. I put 2 pin Push Fit Fluorescent bulbs in our schools 1990s exit signs and they look beautiful lit up at night. Originally the signs had some sort of red diode Push Fit bulbs. Half of them were burnt out so I did a CFL conversion since we don’t have LED 2 pin bulbs.

    We had the pathfinder emergency lights in my mddle school. I used to look at them all the time. Your channel brings back memories of when I used to collect signs and fire alarms and such. New sub.

    Nice units! The squire series and Hubbell emergency light were my favorites!

    This is the channel I have been looking for. I am getting into the fire alarm, extinguisher and Emergency light technician role and your videos help a lot. is there any online course or resource you recommend where I can learn more about emergency lights and Extinguishers? thank you for the awesome content.

      Awesome! It means a lot that you find my videos to be helpful. I have not heard of any sort of online course that offers information on fire protection equipment. There possibly could be one to exist, but I am not aware of any. Good luck with your career and please let me know if I can help you at all!

    Interesting observation on the block arrows with a 1997 sign. I too have a squire, black housing/brushed aluminum faceplate but it doesn't have the battery pack. Mine is from 1997 also and it too has the block arrows! I never noticed that on this sign. Also mine is the fluorescent variant, and the left and right those empty square brackets, that's where the Pl lamp holders go and the brass threaded inserts are where the transformers are mounted!

    Nice! I like the Jiming fixed bulb one. Although stated it doesnt work well, the design is cool.

    Could you replace the bulbs with LED bulbs in the fixed optics emergency light

      I've found the perfect replacement for emergency light bulbs that mimic incandescent bulbs almost perfect. At Walmart in the light bulb section there are small purple packages for Philips 12v eye comfort lamps. I believe they're intended for landscape or track lighting, but they work in 6 and 12 volt emergency lights really really well, and also look incandescent. I've bought many of them and replaced all my emergency lights and exit signs with them

      You definitely can, and I’ve seen other collectors do this. You can get bright LED bulbs that will improve the light output and will last way longer in a power outage compared to the original incandescent. I have never done this because (in my opinion) 1. It ruins the look of the emergency light when in emergency mode and 2. It would be very expensive to replace every emergency light bulb in my collection with an LED one.

    Exit sign 250. Can you review the Lithonia Lighting EU2C M6 LED Emergency Light and the Lithonia Lighting EXRG Series combo with the square led emergency lights

      I have shown these units in previous Exit and Emergency videos and shared my opinions of them there. I don’t plan to make a dedicated review video though.

      @@jangofettjamesthom2002 This video features the ECR LED which is essentially the same as the ECRG just minus the fact it cannot change to green letters. In episode 4 I showed an EU2 LED which again is pretty much the same as the EU2C just without the color changing AC light.

    THe PE6 was my first emergency light and I bought it at a garage sale for $2 in 1999. yours is not the same body style as mine was rectangular housing with the same heads as yours. sadly the circuit board has died in 2016 and I threw it away. Since Igot it when I was a kid it was kind of abused. I had replaced the plain green LED on the side with a jeweled diff user which looked really cool. Sometimes I see them in the wild, like portillos in -Orland Park- Tinley Park Illinois still has them with modern inspection stickers. your PE6 is really nice though, and have never seen them in the wild. I like the NC rocker switch.
    How come you do not install any more units in the garage?
    edit: wrong location

      @ExitSign250  5 месяцев назад

      Yes there were a few variants of the PE6. I want to say yours was an early version? And yes I have a few units like you described too. I got them when I was a kid and completely destroyed them.
      As for units no longer being in the garage, I retired those spots because of changing temperatures and how every unit I installed would get very dirty. I’d like to have some installed there but at the same time I don’t want to damage/dirty anything I put up.
