Darnish makes a point i think all practical and non-extremist fans can pretty apparently see. Being practical and hard to beat at the moment is not a terrible place to be for a team with injuries and a huge lack of confidence. If we are in fact stuck with ten hag starting by being hard to beat and taking point off of everyone every week is a step in the right direction. You can argue we need to "build for the future" but we can start talking about that when we aren't hemorrhaging. Kudos for the reasonable and realistic take.

if they fire him tomorrow who are they replacing him with? What does the rest of the season look like? Is it a interim with no future like a RVN (who is already a part of the staff)? Doesn't seem like that is likely to cause a revolution in our fortunes. Is the person they want long term available tomorrow? Its pretty clear non of the top targets are going to move mid season. Best you can hope for is RVN takes over and what then if results don't improve? Is it still wasted season? Its kind of damned if you do and damned if you don't in your opinion
