I mean, the person who says "hurt" is an adjective is just as wrong as the one he's replying to. It's definitely a verb, _and_ an adjective, _and_ sometimes even a noun. Part of speech is not an intrinsic property of a word, it's the function the word exercises in a given sentence. In both the first and the third examples, "hurt" is clearly a verb, only in the second it works more as an adjective, although an argument could be made for it being a verb, even if poorly used (like saying "you are punched"). The thing is that the original commenter just doesn't understand how tense works, as English doesn't have a grammatical future tense - it uses an auxiliary verb, like "will", plus the verb conjugated in the present or past tense. Note how in both these sentences, "you were _punched"_ and "you will be _punched",_ the verb _to punch_ is using the past tense prefix -ed, and that it happens with all verbs, so two of the three examples they used would look the same regardless of what verb they used anyway.
