The fact they have attachment to it and don't realize the original symbol was not "Germanic" is ridiculous. Fish in a school, mindless. Part of a legacy alphabet, along with much of Greek. That's why it's used in arithmetic. Science did not adopt these things. They heisted them from the Pythagoreans. It appears all over the world and is essentially one of the first "graphemes" to become part of a symbolic system of writing. It was already in Germany for this reason, it's not like the Nazi'a went into your grandma's house and carved nice door frames with their symbols in it. Then retroactively people are like "Look they are everywhere!!" Look at the literal border around the foundation of the Holocaust museum. It's like a banner of swastika. I don't see how everyone is oblivious to how alphabets work.
