Honestly, if this anime whole premise is all about the MC helping the dragon girl on how to be a human adventurer, then I would have like this show a lot.

Was he supposed to be hunting the dragon, but instead helped fake her death and hiding her in plain sight? Are dragons and humans at war? How will the Adventurers Guild and Kingdom react to a dragon in disguise if they found her out? How do other dragons feel about disguising as a human? 1Is there a romance angle here between the MC and the dragon, or perhaps the MC isn't the dragon's main LI, but is helping her to get close to her LI, another adventurer? Is there a corrupting madness affecting dragons, causing them to become feral engines of mass destruction that has to be overcome? Or just toss in the standard isekai plot...Is there a Demon King/Lord involved somehow? ...also, there is already an anime where the MC is helping a dragon girl fit in as a human...though not as an adventurer, but as a live-in maid. Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid...which is an awesome slice of life comedy that has the occassional balls-to-the-wall action fight scene that go waaaaaay harder than they have any right or need to, given the primary genre. Technically also a reverse-isekai, as the dragon(s) come from another world.

She's the only reason this anime is better than the "Reborn as a typical Nobody", which only has eye candy to its credit(And the queen is hawter than the 2 girls that hang out with the MC)...
Remember, she always starts out an adventure with a bag almost 4-5 times her (human) size, filled bursting to the seams with food, yet it completely empties out way not even halfway to their objective. 😅

Yes it's back in the past, but Shikkakumon does not pick up where it leaves off as that one runs on a different premise..one where Gaius quickly gives up on the 1st crest and plans to reincarnate as many times as it would take to get the 4th crest. If Shikkakumon was a direct sequel, then Matty would have recruited Iris immediately into his party instead of using her as a high-speed transport for several missions.
well there is a difference if someone is the bait it implies that they don’t care about their well being or if they die but being a diversion is more like they care about the person and if something should go wrong there would be a change of plan to rescue them
Her dragon form is great, too. I love how a writter both shows Iris as a dragon being a cool killing machine, at same time a writter shows us that Iris as a dragon is the same Iris - by showing us how cute she can be as a dragon.
Remember when it was standard for anime characters to struggle and bleed for their victories, nowadays it's just random blank slate number 10,002 with godly powers who is never truly in the wrong with their decisions ever, and the only thing you can hope to get out of it is a mid anime girl with a cutesy voice to tide you over until the next one when you forget she even existed in the first place.

Yes, you have got it right. Iris is as good in swimming as a fish. In her ... yes, DRAGON form. Chapter 81. A team goes for underwater rocks so Lurie (a crafter) could collect materials from them. Rocks are big even after being broken, so Iris as physically the strongest team member transforms. Iris fails to lift a rock horisontally so she ... starts playing football with it so a rock would be kicked out of water. Iris' dragon form is a cutie pie.
I do not wish to know what the repair bill spells out in terms of damages, but I guess whoever is going to pay for it, might look for a good doctor and a healty heart.

I gotta admit_ in the dimensional realms of anime there's an abundance of outstanding loli characters but for me Iris is my Loli Queen! Her creators did a magnificent job with her character to the extent they turned 'donkey dumb' into a 'fine art' & Iris pulled it off magnificently_ she's an outstanding masterpiece_

In a dragon form, she looks pretty badass, at same time she can be adorable as heck (her facial expression in a dragon form are priceless). Iris herself is already a great character because of being cute and hilarious, but her being a dragon, especially in a world where every single monster and demon (except for Iris) is being a target for slaughter makes Iris being even better. 2. Iris is not an idiot actually. For example, in chapter 81 she had to pull a large reef from sea and she did … play football with it (in a DRAGON form) so it would be in a vertical position and she could pull it out (a reef itself is 3 times bigger than Iris in her true form).
