I saw the movie with two of my coworkers last week. A few days before, I showed one of them the eggman announcement. The fandubs are all I know of the games’ cutscenes and whatnot. So you can imagine what I leaned over and said excitedly when certain scenes came on :)
@ILikeCinderace119No they won’t, I feel like there would be too many copyright issues. Maybe an abridged version of it, but still unlikely. Something that works with the fandubs is the fact that the characters don’t really have definable lip movements, it’s usually just the mouth opening and closing.
This is amazing especially after seeing the full movie in the cinema, someone should replace all the dialogue in the movie with snapcube dubs, like snapcube did for the better call saul episodes, where its audio only so you just start the movie (with it muted of course) in a new tab.
Some of the lines suprisingly work as is. Like "i like a good throw back" is very fitting and most of all "feels like every day is the same" just hits in a way, it could be refering to how shadow feeling after loosing maria Some lines could also tweaked lightly in some way
Honestly I feel like the Shadow fandub is just as much if not more of a part of what got me excited for sonic 3 than the nostalgia for the og shadow game.
