Yo brother, its been an year you commented this, can we get to see the results of your hard work? I'm a newbie to the video editing, just searching different video editing software like sony vegas pro, adobe premiere pro and saw your comment.
Can't imagine how much work went into this 9 1/2 hour long tutorial, but I want to especially thank you for the timestamps. That makes this whole tutorial so much more convenient to come back to if I forget a certain part, or if I need to come back and watch a section later. Thank you so much!
Yo I remembered watching your last full premiere pro in 2019(January) when I was about to start my editing career only to open RUclips today and find a detailed and updated version. Thank you Jack Cole
Im only 2.5 hours in and I already feel quite comfortable moving around the program and doing basic things. Im sure theres much more to it, but based on what I have already learned, I can say this is the best tutorial video Ive seen on a program so far on RUclips. You group ideas together well, dont ramble on about stuff and keep it concise, and explain it in a way that I can follow. Thanks for the hard work you put into this!
This is incredible Jack, thank you. I'm a seasoned IT professional who has been focussed on software for business during my entire 20 year career. Right now I'm spinning up an aerial photography side hustle and so needed a comprehensive tutorial with a view to edit my footage. The bigger picture is that this hustle becomes a full blown, self sustaining business. Thank you once again, I wish you every success.
Just finished the entire course. Thank you Jack again for this you've taught me so much stuff with every course you have put out and still even teaching me now after working with PR for almost a year! Forever grateful!💓
@Liamsi my #1 piece of advice, make notes on literally everything. Open up a word document or go on notepad or notes or even write down on a piece of paper everything you learn. After you finish the course and also during the course, put all of that to use, there’s plenty of exercises within the course to help you take what you learn and put it to use, good luck!
@Liamsi that sounds like a great pc, only thing is it sounds like you have no dedicated gpu, might be worth looking into one. Would you mind sending a spec list of your pc with like the exact parts you have and I can help you out a bit more?
@Liamsi I mean just from that information it’s hard to say. Adobe running “smoothly” is all dependent on what footage you use, if you use proxies and what you do to the videos. To help me out a bit more, what’s the general kind of footage you will be using within the Adobe suite and what are you doing to them? Dozens of effects? Just colour grading? Animation?
I've just transitioned from editing on my tablet to finally getting my first PC. The differences are making my brain melt so I'm extremely grateful for this. Also as a fellow creator I can appreciate how much time has probably gone into this. 100% RESPECT and MAXIMUM EFFORT!
A long time ago, I wanted to learn about video editing. I followed some RUclips videos here and there. But this was the best course I ever had. Jack Cole, you are an absolutely wonderful person in your teaching skills, presentation, as well as the delivery methods you follow. I should mention that you provide the resources as well. Wow, man! I'm glad I found this course. I started it on 29th of May 2022 and finished it today. Thank you very much again! If you are a beginner, I recommend you watch all this stuff.
i still cannot believe that this course was on youtube FOR FREE !!! this was so good, that for months i came back to it again and again to practice and relearn stuff, and i have learned so much from this, that i feel like its almost robbery to not have paid for this. i hope i would make it on youtube someday, and when i do, i will always credit you as my teacher bro. mad love and respect for your work and thank you sincerely !
Jack, Thank You so much for putting all this together, and for free! I took your first Premiere Pro master class about a year ago, and that is what made me competent to make my videos. Thank you for taking the time to do this. I've been wanting to increase my skills here. Thanks again!
Just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for acting like this was free only to find out after 48 minutes that you need to pay to continue. THANK YOU SO MUCH for your honestly, nothing disingenuous about this at all!

@@kingempire1690 bro these aren't real commentators, they're bots to trick us into thinking this is all sooo amazing so that we'd pay for the videos. Pathetic, just PATHETIC, acting like it's free when you get 48 minutes of free stuff. But remember, that's how these guys make their money, helping other people is really a side effect that they don't care much about.
Such a detailed course, i really appreciate the time it took to put all these together and painstakingly timestamping every single subject. this has really inspired me.
I started with zero knowledge and was editing videos well after the first 2 hours. This video is amazing and VERY helpful. Thanks, Jack. 100% recommend.
The Overlays seems to be missing in Resources, Also, I feel this course is much better than than your previous one which was also great. Thanks for Everything you do for us Jack 🙏
Jack, you started me on the road with your last tutorial. Massive respect for you and the work you've put into these. It is phenomenal. Keep it up bro, from Bryan in Ireland.
I did realise whilst watching the important tools section that not every tool was included, I do believe some are pointless but I know there are editors that find them really valuable. If anyone is curious then: Ripple edit tool (SHORTCUT B): means you can drag the edge of a clip and adjust when the clip starts and finishes (aka like if you were to drag the edge of a clip with the selection tool (red bracket) and make it longer/shorter) however, it will also ripple delete for you instead of leaving a gap Rolling edit tool (SHORTCUT N): means that you can drag one clip into another clip so for example you have clip one which is 5 seconds and clip two which is 3 seconds and straight after clip one. Lets say clip one has the last second cut off, this means you can drag the end of clip one into clip two and therefore, clip one will be 5 seconds long and clip two will have the first second of footage cut out so it will be 2 seconds long instead. Rate stretch tool (SHORTCUT R): this tool has the ability to make a clip longer or shorter by adjusting the clip speed so no footage is lost, its speed is just adjusted. So if you have a 1 second clip and you use the rate stretch tool to stretch it out to 2 seconds, the clip will be at 50% speed but all the footage will remain. Slip tool (SHORTCUT Y): this was shown in the video however i wanna give more in depth explanation. If you have a 5 second video and the first and last second of the video are cut out of the video when that video is in the sequence, you can use the slip tool and drag it back 1 second for example and the video will be the same length, however, now you will have the first second of the video in now and the last 2 seconds will be cut out. This can be similarly done if you just drag out the clip with the selection tool, however, the length will change. Slide tool (SHORTCUT U): this tool can be used to move a clip in your sequence by clicking and dragging anywhere on the clip and you can move this freely into any clip and it will change the length of the clips that are NOT being moved around with the slide tool. An example, clip 1 is 5 second, clip 2 is 3 seconds and clip 3 is 8 second. Clip 1 is in the sequence untouched, clip 2 is untouched aswell and clip 3 has the first 2 seconds cut off so its 6 seconds long. You can drag clip 2 two seconds back into clip one which will make clip one 3 seconds (as the last two seconds would of been cut off), clip 2 will remain untouched and clip 3 will be 8 seconds long now as you have restored those last 2 seconds. Zoom tool (SHORTCUT Z): you can press anywhere on the timeline and it will zoom in onto that part of the timeline, however, i prefer using the - and + keys which do the same job but they zoom in to where your cti is (cti is that blue line down your sequence which represents what part of the video you are viewing) so i move my cti to where i want to zoom in and i press +. Pen tool (SHORTCUT P) and rectangle and ellipse tool: self explanatory, they make shapes, however, the pen tool can be used for a variety of things. Just remember its mainly for masking and making shapes but there will be some things that you do in premiere where you use the pen tool. I apologise if my explanations arent the clearest, however, if you do have any questions then please ask below and I would recommend each and every one of you to at least mess around with these tools to get a feel for them and get used to them and any that you feel are 100% pointless, dont use, me personally i use rate stretch, ripple edit, selection, type, pen and hand tools so there are a few that after about almost a year of premiere pro im not using.
How to fade in 4:37 how to add texts 5:46 how to fade out 7:21 press O to add an out point. changing sequence 29:30 42:57 pen tool adding key frames afterward 1:10:29 1:23:46 understand overlays transition 1:29:48 got confused 1:40:38 A little confusion about analyzing done upto 2:10:00 2:42:35 3:00:32 Don't give up guys we gonna do it 3:06:25
Dear Jack, I don't know if you look through the comments, but some of your material is not there anymore. Nonetheless, I am so grateful for your videos and the time that your took to make them. You really have been instrumental in giving me a handle on the material and how to use it more confidently. I am forty six and don't pick up things as quickly but your video made it simple and that is not an easy thing to do. As a teacher of 20 years, you video and enthusiasm made the time wonderful. I was an electrical engineer 2o years ago and have other advanced degrees, but you really made the software accessible and fun. No one watches this to learn how to speak or express themselves properly, so your explanations are good enough. Aristotle in his Rhetoric says that your approach is literally the best one out there. I doubt anyone hear knows what I am referring too, but I put it in there to praise Jack for his lack of sophisticated vocabulary because it makes it really understandable for the common person that knows nothing of the software. So, thanks for your poor vocabulary. I especially liked that you promoted different scenes and the important people in your life while doing these lessons. I hope they appreciate you! Again, thanks for all the hard work that you did to make this software more enjoyable. I am looking forward to taking more classes from you. Cheers!!!
Hey Jack enjoying your course so far ! you are the man, FUN TIP: When uploading files, you can create a folder for those videos and drag that new folder into adobe and it will actually create a group for it already instead of doing it manually on adobe premier pro. fun little short cut I learned
Thank you so much for this detailed tutorial! 👏🏽👏🏽 Your content is really gold! Literally watched all 9.5 hours!! Can’t wait to start editing like a pro 😎
I would not fail to appreciate you for this massive one. This is a full project in itself Jack. This means your former 4 hours + tutorial was just a tip of the ice berg even though you poured out some really great stuff there. Kudos my man! - Mr. Stew
Jack I want to say thank you so much for this tutorial. When I opened this program I was ready to quit lol. And I looked for so many videos but they were all 20-30 mins and they weren't as detailed and helpful as yours without a doubt. From the explanations to the exercises. The high energy and comedy. The humbleness and personal feel of the video as if you were right here walking me through it. You are truly amazing my guy. I appreciate this so much! And I'll definitely shout you out in my videos! Peace bro!
Hey Jack! Working through your course right now....man, this is helping me so much. You're fast and I'm doing a lot of rewinding, but it's all good. Thank you so much for creating this content!!
Thank you for absolutely everything bro, starting from the beginning all the way to the end, I have spent only week in studying all of this and I already learned so much from this video, One's again I thank you from the bottom of my heart!
I'm almost 3hrs in and really excited to get a full run down of premiere pro. I edit youtube shorts for creators on daily basis an most of them think that I edit on premiere pro... I also closed a client for long form youtube videos because I was planning to get a PC and learn but turns out now I have a client waiting for me to edit for him for almost 3 months and I am JUST now getting into the learning. Lollll. Just need to find the time to complete this course ASAP! Thanks!!

I just paused the video at the 12th minute. This is the best course that can be found on youtube pro. 12 mins were enough for me to say this. Thanks a lot.
Just wanted to say thank you, Jack! Your tutorial is fantastic and in my opinion the best on Ytube for those actually wanting to learn the in's and out's of Premiere Pro as a skill. I can't wait to take this into my freelance car photography and cinematography. Cheers dude !!
Enjoying the tutorial very much Jack! It's amazing! I'm watching the tutorials and doing all the exercises along with you and noticed a few resources missing so far: Overlays and RUclips Templates (MOGRTs). Are they no longer available? Thanks!
Remember Jack I took your course in 2020 and at that time I started RUclips channel now I am nearly 350k subs and generated full time income for the last 3 years.. Thanks jack you course helped me in a way that I cant imagine.
This is a great program!!! You really make everything easier to understand. I watched a few other tutorials and this one is definitely my favorite. Thank you for breaking it down into sections and making it easier to understand! This was great!
what i like the most is that this one isn't scripted, ofcs he organized his clips and such yea, but he didn't have in mind how he would edit these clips or work on them in the project, he sort of said out loud how his thought processes are how he find this shot better than the other which is probably something i didn't find in any other premiere tutorial
Massive thank you for all the work u put in! So i am using 2015 version as i cannot afford subscription (torrented). Most of the things u did are not the same and most commands are also not the same. Also the layout and general looks are not the same but i managed to figure things out. I hope one day i will be able to legitimately use the latest version so for now i will practice! Thanks again man EDIT: Some things or panels don't exist in the older versions :(
hi jack ill respect for the time that you put in to this massive work but to many of resources are missing idk that you remove them or ... please could you tell us what to do instead ❤
Completed till 20:45 for now. Will study for a few hours now and then return to this. Edit: Completed till 56:28 for now. The Exercise Taught a lot about how to use these pan cinematic shots and work with them to create something beautiful! I'm enjoying this video. Will continue tmrw.
thanks for this long video. i have forgotten some stuff and then i go back following the topics to revise those. this video works as a great path director. like learn this after this and all so. thanks again bro. with this vidoe i started my journey
Not sure why Jack isn't responding about the missing resources. Just find some on your own guys. Same concept, different material. I got my overlays on Pexels and Pixabay. Both are pretty good for free stuff. Haven't checked much into other sites yet. Also with the overlays, personally I found it looked better when I dropped the opacity to 65% and also faded the opacity to 0 after the halfway point. I felt like it was overpowering the images. The movement was enough to distract even myself from the hard cut. I don't think it needs to overshadow the image the way most overlays might do.
my buddy who is a freelancer suggested he learned premiere from your past tutorial and i'm watching this in dec 2023 . literally nice tutorial explained everithing . btw i already edited some video on capcut and filmora so i knew basic of video editing i only needed the premiere details thank vroooooooooooooo

This is awesome content. I feel myself becoming more and more of a video editor going through every minute of this course. It's a bit of a bummer that the free premium motion graphic templates were taken off though. I'm sure you had your reasons and still love the course.
Oh thank you so much Jack. This means a lot to me to learn something that was difficult for me to understand. I dont see it in the resources section, maybe anyone that's reading this could assist me? :) thank you!

To help me out a bit more, what’s the general kind of footage you will be using within the Adobe suite and what are you doing to them? Dozens of effects? Just colour grading? Animation?

A long time ago, I wanted to learn about video editing. I followed some RUclips videos here and there. But this was the best course I ever had. Jack Cole, you are an absolutely wonderful person in your teaching skills, presentation, as well as the delivery methods you follow. I should mention that you provide the resources as well. Wow, man! I'm glad I found this course. I started it on 29th of May 2022 and finished it today. Thank you very much again! If you are a beginner, I recommend you watch all this stuff.

Jack, Thank You so much for putting all this together, and for free! I took your first Premiere Pro master class about a year ago, and that is what made me competent to make my videos.
Thank you for taking the time to do this. I've been wanting to increase my skills here. Thanks again!
So dope! Glad you got value from it!
Just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for acting like this was free only to find out after 48 minutes that you need to pay to continue. THANK YOU SO MUCH for your honestly, nothing disingenuous about this at all!

Dear Jack, i am 50 minutes into the course and just loving it, enjoying the exercises and the way your going into detail, provided the videos to work along with you is just how it should be when someone takes the seat of a guide... and on top of it we get access to it without any cost, bowing down to your generosity here...

@@snadittyagolder6854 do you hv the resources?
right when I was thinking about taking an 900 dollar course, i find this video, you my man are a saint.
Every Premier Pro newbie needs to watch only this video to get started. You are the man, Jack!
I did realise whilst watching the important tools section that not every tool was included, I do believe some are pointless but I know there are editors that find them really valuable. If anyone is curious then:
Ripple edit tool (SHORTCUT B): means you can drag the edge of a clip and adjust when the clip starts and finishes (aka like if you were to drag the edge of a clip with the selection tool (red bracket) and make it longer/shorter) however, it will also ripple delete for you instead of leaving a gap
Rolling edit tool (SHORTCUT N): means that you can drag one clip into another clip so for example you have clip one which is 5 seconds and clip two which is 3 seconds and straight after clip one.
Thankyou

Cheers!!!

what i like the most is that this one isn't scripted, ofcs he organized his clips and such yea, but he didn't have in mind how he would edit these clips or work on them in the project, he sort of said out loud how his thought processes are how he find this shot better than the other which is probably something i didn't find in any other premiere tutorial

Not sure why Jack isn't responding about the missing resources. Just find some on your own guys. Same concept, different material. I got my overlays on
Pexels and Pixabay.
I'm following the course and learning about Premiere but Jack and I have very different opinions when it comes to where to cut 😅
