I hate narration in drum corps shows...but from the first sentence I was drawn in. This show stands apart; the conception, the narrative writing and oration are compelling, the overall look and design are perfect expressions of the mood of the narrative, and the score is full of musical intricacies, but beautiful, not fussy. It's a DCI masterpiece.
Personally, I absolutely love this show. I think this show is a new and refreshing sound that redefines what a DCI show really is.

My son and I saw your opening performance last night…in our local movie theater. Such a great blend of narration, theme, sound and visuals. It is apparent just how hard all of you have worked this early in the season. Can’t wait to see how far you take the show, and can’t wait to see it again in the Alamodome.

Just No!! 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️ you would think they would go back to their roots for the 50th anniversary and stick to a traditional Marching Uniform! But this is what they call the evolution of 21st century Drum Corps. Which is not drum corps! Last time I saw Bluecoats wearing a real Marching Uniform was 2015. After that, it’s just WTH! Just get back to what drum corps really is!
While yes, this is an anniversary year for DCI, why would they go back to the old marching show. The level of music and marching has changed and evolved well past that. While yes, at least doing a "traditional" uniform would pay homage to the past, but that would take away from it. Maybe this anniversary is to express what it has become instead of what it was. DCI is very different than it was and honestly will never go back.
I mean in the grand scheme of things bloo has always been an innovator trying to push the activity in a new direction. While a more traditional show might have been cool, what better way to celebrate the organization than to contribute the values and try new things. Plus who cares, the kids sound great and clearly love performing the show so I don’t know maybe give it a chance since that’s what the activity is about; you know, fun.
