I admit I was worried when I saw this on TOTP, I bought the single, with After Me on the B side (wonderful song). When Seasons End came out, I knew they would be fine! I have been listening to Marillion for 39 years. Hooks in You isnt the bands favourite song either!
@tobyobrie Yeah i was one of the one's who got it to that lofty chart placing some em (cough) 21 years ago. Bought it on 7 inch vinyl. Some people i knew didn't like it saying it was "Un-Marillion" but i think it's a great little rock workout. Season's End was a fine debut album by Hogarth imo, not trying to be Fish just showcasing his own voice/songwriting style.

because they had to start almost from scratch when most of the fan base deseterted after Fish left.
Not really. I recorded this on video, bought the single, bought the album but it just wasn't the same Marillion that I liked the music of.
Oh, I thought this was a cover of Iron Maiden's song.....
