The National Anthem of Trinidad & Tobago (2009) | SATB Choral Arrangement by Dr John Havelock Nelson

The Marionettes adult and youth choirs perform a Dr. John Havelock Nelson SATB arrangement of Trinidad & Tobago's National Anthem (originally composed by Patrick Castagne). It was specially arranged for the choir in the 1970s, with Dr. Havelock Nelson dedicating it to "Gretta Taylor and the Marionettes". They perform it here with an orchestra comprised of steelpans, woodwinds, brass, and strings (featuring visiting string players from the UK). We share it today in celebration of Trinidad & Tobago's silver jubilee - the islands' 60th anniversary of independence.
The lyrics of the Anthem are:
