Trisha's maturity is all because of her behaviour and mentality. She knew life was tough but that didn't stop her from adapting herself and having faith in herself. She was confident that she would be successful some day. And along with that process she realized the reality of life. And that's the reason why Trisha didn't get triggered while Martha was bragging about herself like a fool! Trisha handled the entire situation like a pro.

I get the impression that you are a religious person and somehow feel offended for what I am writing because in the bible it says "you shall have no other gods before me" - but I am not talking about being better than god or that we should praise ourselves like we are better than anything existing on this planet.

I had an encounter with an old associate like this YEARS ago. I can remember his saying something like" You haven't changed!" I was taken aback. Was I supposed to change or was it a good thing - or a bad thing-- I hadn't changed? The tone of his voice told me it wasn't a compliment. I hadn't said but 2-3 words to him. He then gave me some parting farewell. All I gleaned from that encounter was - unbeknownst to me - he had been envious of me but for some reason, he now felt he had excelled me somehow. All I can remember thinking I wish I had said to him "You know, I wish that I could say it was nice seeing you after all of these years. But I cannot!!"
I wonder what their native language is. I can fully understand what they're saying but It clearly isn't English. Maybe it's an Eastern European language. "Thinking isn't your strong point, DOES IT??"
