People from Maryland either love this video, or they completely hate it. Either way, I think it's hilarious. I grew up in Baltimore, and I definitely had the Baltimore accent when I was younger. I can still break into this accent any time I want to, so I did it for this video. Maryland pride!

I doubt you'll find the accent in Montgomery County. There are a couple Maryland specific words you might hear in Montgomery County but not the full accent.
It's more of a Baltimore accent actually, but still heard in other parts of Maryland.

No, Hindi, Tagalog, Urdu, Arabic, Korean, Amharic and Yiddish are more commonly spoken in Montgomery Co. than the regional accent that preceded them.

I guess these days, it's not so much Baltimore as it is the suburbs and rural areas around Baltimore. If you want to hear something similar, head on over to Glen Burnie and make your way to a hair salon. There's bound to be some good Baltimore/Glen Burnie accents there.

Earlier this year I got a promotion for work to upstate NY and within the first month a girl guessed that I was from MD. I don't think we have accents, but the rest of the country thinks we enunciate our O's and say "phone" weird. We say Baldimore instead of Baltimore. Old Bay on popcorn and chicken is the sh*t.

I'm from nearby Wilmington DE, and I must say that MD accents are music to my ears.
I especially like the open long O sound (we do it even better in Wilm) and the variant
    pronunciation "wooder" for H2O.

Correct, most Marylanders don't sound this way, but the vid is about those areas where people do actually talk like this. The vid was done in fun!

I get it was done "in fun" I couldn't understand most of it, so some of the humor was lost. Except for the one word Water, which a few of my relatives say, I've never heard such an accent in 17 years growing up there

From Catonsville, parents from Baltimore and their parents from Baltimore, etc. The problem is that most people in Maryland no longer know the correct pronunciation for certain words. Baltimore is correctly pronounced "Balmore." Bread is "br-red," as in food, not animals. Maryland is only correctly said when it comes out as "Merland." Finally, someone misspelled Washington a long time ago, maybe it was Washington himself, but the correct spelling originally was Warshington. Honestly, folks, get your history straight. The problem with the current Baltimore accent is that so many people have moved into Baltimore that don't have the proper breeding and pedigree to speak correctly. As for people from Montgomery County who don't feel they have a Maryland accent, it was just a bunch of hicks and firemen until 20 years ago. Of course, they didn't know proper English. Finally, Carroll County. Who did you folks talk to, except cows and corn fields, until 20 years ago? Give me a holy break, a proper crab feast and learn how to speak correctly, if you're going to remain in Maryland.

Yeah, my friends are from pg!! Except they drive/take the bus hours to get to our school which is in Potomac. I've only been to Annapolis once on a field trip, and on any given day, the farthest I'll have the opportunity to go is like Upper Marlboro/Bowie. I want to see more of Maryland, though. Hell, there's even parts of Silver Spring (where I'm from) that I haven't seen.

Baltimore is pronounced "Balmer, Ballmore, or Baldimore" and never Bal-ti-more (sure sign that you are a visitor). The state is Marilyn as in Marilyn Monroe and not Mary-Land. This accent is more prevalent in the Dundalk-Essex area where they fight about who the sewer plant belongs to.
