Wow 60yrs old and still amazingly beautiful, such a legend
Ya know, kinda like Tina Turner. She worked til she was 69.
She’s had some work done. Why, I don’t know. She was stunning without it.
Sheryl Crow is a class act!! Seeing her live was such an experience! Her kindness comes through so much!
I remembered hearing this song on the radio driving down the Ventura Freeway and the radio announcer announced the song and said it was brand new. And I remember loving it with the windows down cruising on the freeway listening to this tune in Los Angeles it was awesome. My hair was flying was a beautiful day. Sheryl Crow rocks!❤️🫶🏼😘
That’s a great memory of yours. I had heard the song, maybe hadn’t appreciated as I should have. One morning my wife and I were exploring Cape Cod on vacation. We were drinking beer at 9 am on a Tuesday and the song came on the radio. It just grabbed me, and has been a favorite of mine ever since. Like’97, ‘98? I love her music.
Lovely and talented
Yes. That song encapsuled the times and our youth. Forgot Sheryl’s also aged.
she wins the grammy 9 times and her showtime documentary sheryl welcome back to the show
Me too. Ventura Hwy or the 1 in Malibu... sigh I miss it
I was lucky enough to meet Sheryl 10 years ago. She was so sweet to my young son. I just LOVE HER!!
"Working with the greats" Working with her peers. The humility of some of these stars is quite amazing. I worked at a music festival and actually heard this exchange between two well-known musicians:
"Wow, man!" Am I ever glad to meet you! You blow me away!"
"No, man! YOU blow ME away! I named my kid after you!"
No word of a lie. They walked away after that, so I don't know how it progressed, but it was pretty awesome to see.
I love, love, love this woman. I still remember hearing her for the first time but I really remember seeing her live for the first time, in a small venue to boot! She was opening for Blues Traveler in a nightclub in Charlotte NC.
Wow! So cool!
I saw her in 1994. She opened for the Counting Crows, and she wasn't that good. I think it was her first tour. A few years later, as part of Lilith Fair, she was incredible. Her growth was amazing, and I was so impressed with her perseverance and determination to learn and grow.
Never vibed with her sound but appreciate her talent. From back in the day I vibe with Tori Amus and Jewel, who really is a jewel 💎
@@selmahare yeah I've seen Tori Amos live 3 times, twice by herself and once with Alanis Morissette. Only saw Jewel once, at some festival but not sure which one...Lilith Fest maybe.
@MetallicBill yeah I went to the Horde Fest 2 years. They were freaking awesome.
I've never seen her being interviewed before, she seems like such a warm person and their friendship is so genuine, love the way he ended the segment
I cannot overstate this enough, but "everyday is a winding road" got me through some hard days as a teenager. Thank you 🙏🏽
Me, too!! but I was in my 20s....One of my all-time favorite songs
Do not tell Sheryl but I've been in love with her and her music for the last 28 years. Beautiful lady, amazing music.
She likes men who treat her like a whore. Then she complains about it in a song. Your comment is exactly why she’d never be interested in you.
I saw her perform on a chilly day in July in Northern Minnesota. Right as she was hitting the chorus for "soak up the Sun", she got blasted by sleet, and actually asked the crowd "did that just happen?" If I remember correctly, she finished the show in a Beavers Hockey jersey.
That was... whoa, more than a decade ago?... That can't be right. Wait - it checks out. I'm just old now.
Thanks for the music and memories!
I put Can't Cry Anymore on the jukebox in a diner in the hood in the 90s. Everyone was singing along. Music is universal. Also she sang with Michael Jackson so......talent🥰
He made her career and she doesnt even mention him in fact, the opposite
All I wanna do is say that I absolutely love Sheryl Crow and her music 🎶
If this super talented amazing vivacious woman isn't in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame yet I think it's about time🎤🥁🎸🎹...
Her music is the soundtrack of my life when I was in my 30s.
Sheryl has a quality with her music similar to Carole King... If you have not heard of or listened to Carole King... listen to her "Tapestry" album from back in the '70's, absolutely one of the finest singer / songwriter / storyteller albums of all time...seriously.
@ Sunset Captiva I Do Agree that Sheryl Crow, is very similar to Carole King with their original music, and talent of course!!!
Blessedly, I grew up in the 60’s & ‘70s,…when Carole King Was “Queen!!” 😉
Pretty Certain that Ms. King’s “Tapestry” album, was one of the best selling albums of all time!!
I was just 😂 in my car, Yesterday listening & singing along, to “Tapestry” yesterday!! Her music, (and others) helps me to “Zone In” & concentrate on the music!! It Helps!! CRAZY DRIVERS Don’t Bother Me much, if I’m Enjoying & Singing!! MANY MORE OF US NEED TO RELAX, Especially When Driving! Everyone Should LISTEN TO CAROLE KING & SHERYL CROW!! ☺️👍🏽😌🤩🥰.
I still have "Tapestry" on the original vinyl I bought in the 1970's. Sadly, I don't have a working turntable...
@@pdoylemi One of the best albums of all time...
@@sunsetcaptiva8573
Love it! Of course Carol also wrote a lot of hits for other artists too - she was very good.
@@pdoylemi I can still feel the Earth move under my feet...
She's from same area I'm from, middle of nowhere, and it's so uplifting that someone as amazing as her came from here!
So lovely and chill. Lovely soul..
Seen her in concert...what a show!
I remember being 7 years old on a vacation with my family and we were driving we were by Santa Monica Boulevard and “All I Wanna Do” came on the radio and I was instantly a fan of hers after that. ☺️
Her quarantine jams were so fun to watch in those early days of the corona. 🙌
What a wonderful, down to earth and beautiful person. I've only seen her perform once - outdoors.. but what a connection with the audience. Looking forward to more...
This... woman... artist... rock star... is a legend! Love her. Thanks Stephen.
Recently my 9 year old son fell in love with Sheryl Crow songs. Hopefully she realizes what an inspiration she is to kids even after the songs drop down from the "latest" hits. My 9 & 5 year Olds both like the tune & the meaning behind "Soak up the Sun".
She talks about that in her documentary, seeing kids in the audience who weren't even born when her songs were released, yet they know the lyrics & sing along. The band just looked at one another with an unspoken "Wow"
Her music is timeless. Prolly 20+ really good songs by her ❤️
Love her music!
I'm gonna put "All I wanna do" in my 2022 playlist so I can drive around with my bike with Sherly singing in my ear.
I love that almost every musician interview bows or gives praise to the band before taking their seat lol such unspoken brotherhood/sisterhood
Her new song Forever is excellent
I am a huge Sheryl Crow fan and own all her albums and saw her live in 2008.She has such a variety of songs to enjoy.
Saw her duet with Mick on Dead Flowers when she opened for the Stones in Albuquerque in '97. Ma said they gave a "You know that I know that you know" look to each other on the "I know you think you're the queen of the underground" part, which was funny.
At University Stadium; I sat next to you! JK!
@@michaelfarrell7161 don't think I remember.
Que brilho, que energia é essa, gente?
Incrível 🙌
Cheryl has Chill Vibes❤
"All I wanna do, is listen to Sheryl Crow"... Keep on rockin' girl!
60 years old👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
My dad saw her once in a tiny bar and said she was the best singer he had ever seen! Absolutely love her!
She is so cool. ❤️
She's a sweet, lovely, beautiful lady. A truly wonderful person on the inside and out. Bless this earth angel!
Love her so much, what a talented and beautiful woman/person.
If it makes you happy is my favorite song of hers.
I still remember hearing "Leaving Las Vegas" for the first time on the radio ... I had to know WHO this voice was and get every record she made. 30 years later, she's still my go-to girl. An amazing talent and beautiful human being. LOVE YOU SHERYL !!! ♥
Girl, you're still lookin' good. Rock that aarp card!!
Riverwide. Beautiful song from this artist, she gets to me every time I hear it.
The work she did with Stevie Nicks back in the early 2000s was remarkable!
So many more underrated songs than all I wanna do . Such a great songwriter. She is so so talented. She is one of the Greats.
I have loved that song (and her others) for so many years I've lost count. Great ice breaker at a get together.
Can't wait to see the documentary..
That outfit is a Dream!! What a cool lady!!
So much love for the band.
Crow is so talented. Love her
Such a gorgeous woman..😍
A Sheryl Crow interview with a Bon Jovi reference. Don't think it gets any better than that.
One of the greatest American songwriters that ever lived.
I just love her spirit
I like a musician that stays away from the boogieman we call Hollywood (I prefer Hollyweird). Miss Crow has done that and made good music the entire time. Bravo, keep it coming.
My favorite Sheryl Crow songs are There Goes The Neighborhood and Sweet Rosalyn.
Sheryl is right, Stay Human is amazing.
My divorce hit out of nowhere. *Sheryl was my first post-divorce girlfriend* (as her first album was an early post-divorce purchase). Holy *shit* but that album saw me through a lot.
There is a crow's nest this year in my front yard tree. l call the happy bird couple Russell & Sheryl Crow.
I have her albums on cd. I miss 90s
Rest In Peace Burt Bacharach❤
Sheryl Crow got me through my last relationship
How can anyone be this calm?
I remember wanting out of the small town I was living in at the time and Leaving Las
Vegas was everything.
She also was a backup singer for Michael Jackson in 1988 for the BAD tour! You know the King Of Pop who Outsold everyone in the title 😂
I saw her on the BAD tour in London at Wembley Stadium before she was famous and had her hair dyed blonde . She also got sacked or dismissed from part of the tour allegedly because Michael was into her and she wasn't into him . Recently about a year ago she said she saw some strange things going on but she didn't want to go into specifics. Michael Jackson has the biggest selling album of all time in the world, but in the US, Britain and Japan he doesn't have the biggest selling album of all time.
Stand aside! hold my beer, etc., I have the Crow Crush. Great tunes.
Still a babe too.
I love her voice.
Haha love it❣️
Amazing artist,..! ☝️
I was a big fan of hers in the 90s and 2000s
Loved the interview, could have listened to it for an hour. Colbert’s constant name dropping, not so much.
She’s so brave, so brave.
she look fabulous
went to see Tragically Hip one time and she opened for them... ended up liking her as much if not more than them...
I saw her with Tom Petty. Great show
I sometimes remember that song when I occasionally get a beer-buzz in the morning. Back in the 90s we were young enough to get away with it, but now it's just one not a six-pack. ;-)
Love Sheryl.
I was a nu-metal kid in the 90s and even I bought "all I wanna do", on tape no less, in the little cardboard slip cover
Great songs first 3 albums. Iconic. Saw her live. She ignored the fans and was busy trying to win over a major negative Nancy in the front row. After that she felt like a “pick me” girl.
Chills🤗
love 4ever🙏❤😎✌
That Woman is a legend.
Wow she ages like fine wine
class
Amazing...just had to say that.
She looks great ( unlike Madonna who is always trying to be a teenager - looks and mouth)
Madonna has become... something other than what she was.
Hater much ? We don't elevate some by finding a perceived fault in others. Madonna has evolved and reinvented herself over the years but will always be a goddess. Except for the ones who overdose and die young, all age. Madonna, Mae West, or Liz Taylor are like a fine wines.
What was the point of bringing up Madonna? You could have just given Sheryl a compliment without dragging down Madonna
@@Leftatalbuquerque i am worried about her. love u madge.
Wow🎶😍
She has become more beautiful with age. Striking women!
If I Met Sheryl Crow I Would Definitely Have a Photo With Her and Agreed She’s So Cute!
That's a real rock star there.
I bought tickets to see her for my 60 bday but due to Covid she cancelled so I still haven’t seen my idol.
She also was a background vocalist for Michael Jackson.
If only more people got drunk and went to book stores. 🍷🍷
Stephen Colbert Sheryl crow tomorrow never dies and bee movie awesomeness job interview
Sheryl Crow and Lucinda Williams. All you need on your desert island.
Cute, honest and lovely😊
I first saw her in the 90"s when her accent was still from SoCal. I guess she must have moved to Tennessee to have picked up that drawl.
She looks like she knows how to have some fun.
A very pretty girl with the voice of an angel 👼
No mention of Eric Clapton and Bob Dylan? That's kindda strange. Maybe in the documentary we get to hear some.
x
I'm waiting for the Kevin Gilbert mentions. Doubt she'll ever be onboard for that kind of honest look.
When you see the clip and a person that looks different comes out
i finally understood girl groupies when an acquaintance dragged me to a BONNIE RAITT (small brewery venue) - i would have eaten her jeans. ! and usually i am so prim . . . signs an ol' miles davis, ol' floyd, ol' genesis, ol' canterbury nerd.
I wish Stephen would let her finish a sentence or fully answer a question before he interrupts her with his own thoughts or rushes into the next question.
She's a bad ass
