Erik when other teams play defense: :DDDDDD Erik when US plays defense: :| Humans do tend to be harder on themselves than on others, but you all (generally, you did have some moments) played great!
OMG ERIK YOU'RE BACKKKKKKKKKKK!!!! I HAD SO MUCH FUN WHILE YOU GUYS WERE HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES. I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO WATCH YOU GUYS AGAIN FOR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!
Hi Erik! Been a subscriber since COVID era ( and this is my first time commenting) ! I'm a Fan from Philippines, i know you guys love ph somuch and I've watched you guys played VNL here. Since FIVB Volleyball tournament will be here in the Philippines, It would be really great for you to react on Creamline Cools Smashers game against kurashiki Ablaze (which is a japanese team) pleaseeeeeee ❤❤❤❤
Do you think you could make a video that explains all of the competitions in volleyball and when they happen? I’m still pretty new and so all of this confuses me (I mean like the VNL, World Cup, SuperLega) I can’t find anything that describes and explains all of these and it would be a great help
I can give you a brief one if this helps: Most players go through club season(usually starts in late October and ends in late April or May) and many of them also go through national team season (usually starts in June and ends mostly in August or September) every year. In club season, you'll play in a certain country's professional league where you'll compete with teams within the league like superlega and plusliga. For strong clubs in Eroupe, there'll also be CEV competitions (Champions league, CEV Cup and Challenge Cup) for them to compete with teams from different Eroupean leagues. In national team season, players will play for their country in internatinal tournaments like VNL (yearly), World Championship (biennial), Continental Championship and Olympics.
We hope to see your reaction on Team USA's debut for the Manila Leg of the VNL, from the matches (especially the epic ones when your team faces Brazil & then Japan who is a crowd favourite since the 1st PH hosting of the VNL since 2 years ago) to the Fan-Zone & experience.
Thank you for your works!! If you are interested in reacting to some Serie A and the new Japanese SV league matches with some international superstars, I think that would be interesting, educational, and exciting too♪ By the way, happy to learn Mat Anderson is interested in playing in the LA Olympics.
Hello! I have a question for your next 'Answering your volleyball questions segment'. What role do statistics and analytics play in professional volleyball? For example, in basketball there's been a huge shift towards statistics and it's become a pretty normal part of the vocabulary. Are there any analytics towards positioning, zones, camera tracking, etc? Love your work Shoji!
As usual, very exciting video! I’ve always wanted to ask, do you speak Japanese and do you feel excited whenever Japan is playing? Do you support them and do you know them personally?
Japan makes for great entertainment but spending that much energy on individual points doesn't strike me as the best strategy, especially for an undersized team that has to jump a lot more than the opponent.
I think it's not really about "best strategy" but it's the fact that you have to do everything to keep the ball going, cause your error is a score of the opponent and every point counts in vball 😊
@@purpleyam21right, that is why Japan makes it up because of their great defense. Actually, it is a strategy. Eventually, both teams used their energy not just Japan 😂
I guess that's the strategy they have to make to get through all the blockers who are a lot higher than them. All the matches where one of their main attackers being nullified are in really bad position.
@@trishaespinoza8875 I get that, but in a tournament Japan has to do that every game while their opponents do it once. But maybe it’s just me being an old, undersized, slightly overweight middle feeling long rallies a lot more than I used to.
I hope to see one of your reaction videos for both Paris final (men and women). I love to hear your technical reviews 😊
France and Japan really offered the best plays in this VNL
Joris seddik is actually 18 at the time of the 2024 VNL, he is born in 2008
2006
He can't be 18 while being born in 2008

He always downplays himself.
Behind every best of volleyball moment, there's a libero working so hard to keep the ball alive, so proud of them🫶🫶🫶

Hello
Japan makes for great entertainment but spending that much energy on individual points doesn't strike me as the best strategy, especially for an undersized team that has to jump a lot more than the opponent.
I think it's more about the hype of winning that kind of points that elevates the spirits of the team
