It's not as powerful as I thought it would be, but it works very well. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxGjG43--gYqIoT4Xkur2PqCrtbKwTv2h There are three options to circulate air, and best of all a remote control for us lazy people. Installation was a breeze (no pun intended). It actually took longer to open the box then it did putting the side extenders on and sitting it in the window opening. It's a perfect alternative when you want airflow, but not the AC. Just might order another one for a different room. UPDATE: Bought another one like I said. They work great. Why not have two...
*Works amazingly **Fastly.Cool** . I love all the features and the double expansion. For once a fan is almost as tall as my window. Updated but not overly fancy.*
Thank you! From the pictures in the instruction manual, we had it riding on top of that z-bracket and were like how the heck does this go together. Total cluster!
Thank you! We just purchased this fan. Unfortunately, I cannot just open up my existing hold but need to make it "smaller" on one end. Fun!! Appreciate you making this video!
Thanks for the excellent video! You made replacing my 34 year old noisy bath fan with this model much easier than how the instructions that came with it did.
Thank You again, Very grateful for this! I have the same fan and still working great. From my research re. cold climate venting and ducts are also a key issue. I had too much research to get this more correct than not. I would suggest using galvanized insulated smooth ducting along with the best outside home vent you can find for your cold climate application. Not so sure it was a DYIer project at least for me was a bit over the top.
Hey, thank you for taking the time and effort to product this excellent, easy to understand and follow, video tutorial on how to properly install a Panasonic Whisper Choice exhaust fan. Keep up the good work!
you all prolly dont give a damn but does anybody know of a method to get back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb forgot my login password. I would love any tips you can offer me!
@Ahmed Ryan I really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and I'm trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
God damn Renos are making me VIOLENT !!! You saved me with your video. The darn plan from the box confused the hell out of me :-D The fan is installed and running smoothly :-D
Do you think this can be used in a drop ceiling like you would find in an office or no? Might you just rest the metal frame on top of the metal arms going across the ceiling and then pop the cover on?
Hi, how do I utilize the 6 inch duct adapter. It ssys you can connect to 4 or 6 inch duct. Does the 4 inch seperate from tbe 6 inch, or do I just slide it over the 4 inch part and onto the 6 inch?
From the manual, looks like need to screw both 4 screws into joints on two sides. Do you screw 2 in one side only and feel fine for that ? It's really hard to reach the other side of joint for basement.
It does extend for sure. The manual shows being attached to two joints, I can’t remember how far exactly it extends though. Hopefully someone has an open box before installation to comment about it.
My issue is, how do you know that you are shooting the screws into the actual bracket because once you put the fan unit in place, you can no longer see the bracket?? Every time mi shoot one of the four screws, it feels like it’s just going through straight drywall/ceiling.
Good point. As I remember when I did mine, I could feel the tension as the screw passes the drywall. As you know, the way they have designed the bracket is by creating long channels on two sides of the bracket to hold the screw instead of having specific holes.
You'll want aluminum duct tape from HD or Lowes, and make sure your current duct hose is insulated. Use a zip tie or big SS hose clamp for the inner portion of the flexible duct, than tape the outer and inner duct with the aluminum duct tape. It also explains this in the instructions.
I am adding this to a bathroom that is already sheetrocked, anyone have a suggestion how to make sure its perfectly straight? I am concerned if i am slightly off then the bracket will be slightly off and it will be a big problem. I dont own a fancy laser projector level.
I would like to view this but it does not run (black screen) or keeps spinning attempting to show the vides. I have very fast internet speed connected by ethernet
I'm probably a bit late but it should. I would probably install a 130-140 cfm. That is the biggest one I saw at home depot and it should get rid of the smoke the fastest.
It's not venting into the attic. He attached it to a piece of ductwork that's running through the attic. I'm pretty sure it's either vented through the roof, eave soffit or outside wall.
Excellent instructions, so glad you did this because Panasonic should be completely ashamed of the included instructions.
Man, you ain’t kidding
i didnt even know the cardboard was the template, it says its a masking template lol
Freakin horrible instructions.

could not have done it without your video. Instructions from Mfg were terrible! Thanks

Thanks! The instruction manual by itself is not the best and it really helped to see it put together in your video.
Thank you! We just purchased this fan. Unfortunately, I cannot just open up my existing hold but need to make it "smaller" on one end. Fun!! Appreciate you making this video!
Great video. They should include this video link instead of the instructions. Which were useless. Great job!
Thanks, the details with the template and side electrical box installation helps a lot.
Thanks for the excellent video! You made replacing my 34 year old noisy bath fan with this model much easier than how the instructions that came with it did.
Great video...I'm installing this weekend and the instructions in the box are awful. Thank you for posting and helping me out!

Excellent video. Much clearer than the printed instructions. Thanks for this.
Hi. Do you have have an exhaust pipe/vent?
wonderful instructions and video!!

@Ahmed Ryan it did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. Im so happy:D
Thank you so much you saved my ass !
@Emanuel Mekhi Glad I could help =)
Really helpful. Thank you very much. Save me a ton of time and mistakes
OMG! You are a lifesaver. THANK YOU 😊
Thanks very much for the video. Was a lot easier than following the instructions!
Thanks for the instructions! You really helped us finish up our bathroom remodel. Cheers!
Boom, this is awesome. Helped clarify stuff that the manual should have. Perfect!
Great video. Does fan come with wire knob? If not what size do I need?
God damn Renos are making me VIOLENT !!! You saved me with your video. The darn plan from the box confused the hell out of me :-D The fan is installed and running smoothly :-D
Good tutorial, got it installed with your help. I have 3" duct tubing so one last thing to get the 4' to 3" connection to attach to the attic vent.
Thank you for taking the time for producing an excellent video. I appreciate it.
Thank you for your excellent presentation, it was very useful
great video. what is the black plastic flapper thingy inside ? is it meant to be removed ?
Thanks. It is there to help prevent reverse airflow
Thanks, this was very helpful.
If I use 6" duct size I'd remove the 4" duct adapter would I need to add a 6" damper at the outlet of the fan?
Do you think this can be used in a drop ceiling like you would find in an office or no? Might you just rest the metal frame on top of the metal arms going across the ceiling and then pop the cover on?
I appreciate the video. Unfortunately, the part that didn't record is the exact part that's giving me trouble. 😅
Hi, how do I utilize the 6 inch duct adapter. It ssys you can connect to 4 or 6 inch duct. Does the 4 inch seperate from tbe 6 inch, or do I just slide it over the 4 inch part and onto the 6 inch?
Great video! Thank you for sharing. Help me a lot.
can you do a follow up video of how loud/quiet that fan is?
it's not "silent" but it is one of, if not the quietest bath fan on the market.
I don’t understand what happens with the frame that goes up in the ceiling?
From the manual, looks like need to screw both 4 screws into joints on two sides. Do you screw 2 in one side only and feel fine for that ?
It's really hard to reach the other side of joint for basement.
Excellent video. Thanks so much!!!! I subscribed
I'm so confused what direction the little tray goes
Thanks. Much better than the manufacturer's video.
Great video. Made installing the fan very easy.
Thanks a ton for the video, it helped me a lot when I was installing mine!
Awesome video! Getting ready to install 2 of these!
How is it holding up ?
We love it! We have three of them now.
I'm replacing my Panasonic bathroom fan with...
Another Panasonic after 14 years!
Can I assume that the mounting bracket extends 24 inches to attach to 2-foot-on-centre roof trusses?
It does extend for sure. The manual shows being attached to two joints, I can’t remember how far exactly it extends though. Hopefully someone has an open box before installation to comment about it.
@@ToolsReview I just purchased one and the instructions indicate it extends up to 24-inch on-center joists.
Thank you for the video. You saved me a lot of time. Great video.

Thank you, great video , it help me a lot while installing mine.
Great video. Just forgot to caulk around adapter as per manual.
The important part is missing.
Thanks for the vid it helped me a lot with my install
Missed recording attaching the duct attachment to flex-z bracket
Your instructions were clear. I missed the spot when you are reconnecting the duct to the fan. How do I do that?
You'll want aluminum duct tape from HD or Lowes, and make sure your current duct hose is insulated. Use a zip tie or big SS hose clamp for the inner portion of the flexible duct, than tape the outer and inner duct with the aluminum duct tape. It also explains this in the instructions.

thanks dude

Would this work for cigar smoke? Looking to install one in my smoke room
I'm probably a bit late but it should.
I would probably install a 130-140 cfm. That is the biggest one I saw at home depot and it should get rid of the smoke the fastest.
Has anyone installed this to a suspended ceiling? ceiling tile?
That's a painting mask, not a cutout template.
Literally missing the most important part of the installation.
In my state it's illegal to vent a fan into the attic space this way! I believe all jurisdictions have basically the same code.
It's not venting into the attic. He attached it to a piece of ductwork that's running through the attic. I'm pretty sure it's either vented through the roof, eave soffit or outside wall.
It’s not vented into the attic, it’s connected to a duct that is presumed to be properly run to an external vent on the roof/soffit/etc.
Just bought (4). They’ve gone up to $179.99. Thanks joe biden!
