  • This video demonstrates using the BabyBjörn Baby Carrier One to carry a baby in a front carry, facing outwards.
It is recommended you wait until baby is at least 4 months old before using the carrier for this position. They must have full head control and their chin needs to be clear of the top edge of the carrier.
Baby must always be turned to face inwards for sleep. BabyBjörn recommend this position is used for short periods of time.
The carrier used to demo with is the BabyBjörn Baby Carrier One in Denim Grey.

Thank you SO MUCH for showing the slider on the adjustment toggle. No other video mentions this. Now I finally understand how to secure the flap down!

Thank you SO much for this, it is so thorough! I have been terrified of using my BB carrier, followed this today and confidently took my 5 month old out for a walk in it...which she loved!!!

Thank you so much for this amazing video! Just wondering, my son is 7 months and is a big bub. How do I know how wide I need to make the leg section for forward facing?

I always worry I’ve tightened the side straps too tight

You want to ensure baby is held as tightly as a cuddle in arms, ideally with them in a 'seated' position - rather than hanging down. This will prevent pressure on their tummy and help to ensure they are comfortable.
At this developmental stage - because baby must have full head control in order to face outwards - the 'tightness' is more about comfort for the wearer and ensuring that baby is held securely, than it is about preventing slumping (which is the key thing to avoid before they have head control). I hope that helps!

Hi Roamy, would you say this carrier is any good for an 11 month old?

    • @SouthEastSlings

Thanks for your question. While yes, it can be used with an 11 month old, I wouldn’t buy one for an 11 month old as it wouldn’t last as long as other options.
Ideally - when buying a carrier - you want something that your child is the minimum size to fit comfortably and safely, so it lasts a decent length of time
