There is a lever that controls the opening at the bottom of the cone, by opening or closing the opening, you can spread anything that is granular regardless of size. Thanks for watching!

Do we must change oil or grease on the mechanism that rotates the spreader?
As long as it is free from moisture, you shouldn't have to change it. Just make sure a sufficient amount is present prior to use.
