Centers have to battle for position in the slot and in front of the net getting hacked and whacked and cross checked while wingers are able to hangout in exactly the spot Laine scores most of his goals. My point is matthews has a far more difficult job than laine and it is far more difficult to generate scoring with the demands of the center position which is why it is the most important position to get sured up. Contrast schieffle's production to matthews and the debate is instantly over. matthews had 34 goals most of which are even strength while missing 20 games and being injured alot of the season. Laine is a great Winger and thats awesome but in all honesty there comparison is not fair at all.
