"ok so somethign i notiece is.. it didnt even lag my game out, so what are we even doing?" absolute masochist phrase. love it. but im sorry to tell you, i made a nuke without complexity mod that could completely destory multiple things at once in about a 20m radius. probably because there were about the same ammount of tnt but all in the front and compacted making the explosion more concentrated, consider explosions traver at about mach 1 in trailmakers, slightly slower, 1000 to 1300 kmh depending on lag an various things.
The biggest Bomb iver made it the GBU 43 MOAB (may be in correct) coming in with 8500 KGs of filler and is 9m long the bomb here is approximately 20m long and has 1200 KGs of filler. Now the Dynamite in the game is approximately 1m long, a bomb of that's size has approximately 120 KGs of filler so we would multiply 1200kg by 120 KGs to find the *realistic*/approximate filler amount which is 144000 KGs or 317000lbs. We however have empty mass on the inside of the bomb (I have no clue how much) so it could be possible to multiply the 1200KGs by a smaller number possibly around the region of 50-60KGs which ways in at 60,000-72,000KGs or 132,000-158,000lbs, this would have a effective ground vibration range of 8500m, and a house demolition range of 300m. Which is almost 3 times more effective than any conventional TNT bomb, even so this is dwarfed by Nuclear bombs with some have a TNT equivalent of 21000 tonnes or 21000000KGs and are up to 5 times more effective. So basically an absolutely huge bomb capable of disintegrating a coughing baby.
I really like ur channel. No other trailmakers RUclipsr only focus specifically on experiments as much as you, especially with your flying wing aircraft’s and bombs!
I wish trailmakers had bombs with a bigger blast radius. You can stack as many bombs as you want but it’ll still just damage stuff in like a 15 block radius.
I personally have two ways that I think the devs can add larger explosions in the game: 1. They add an item which just naturally has a larger explosion that regular explosives. 2. They can make it so any explosives that explode near each other at the same time will produce one larger explosion rather than many small ones, the size of the big explosion can scale depending on how many explosives are near each other when they explode.
Option 2 is what I would hope for because there would be a smaller limit to how big they could get. If there was a more powerful item people could spam them and immediately lag out public servers.
If it merged the power of all the bombs nearby, then more dinamite could cause a bigger explosion, and it would even be a lot less resource intensive, bc now the game calculates the damage dealt to parts, and the velocity added to debris for each explosion, wile this way it would only have to count the bombs, add their power, and make an explosion with the apropriate radius and damage.
I wonder if there is a mod for trailmakers that actually adds nuclear bombs, so you can make nuclear cluster bom- i mean very reasonable totally practical weapon designs.
6:53 I wouldn’t say you need more power, I would say you need landing gear to reduce friction. Even if there is a lot of weight, there’s also a lot of contact with the ground happening. With landing gear, you no longer have all of that. Plus you can make it retractable to not mess with the aerodynamics more

Anyways, I wanted to tell you that when making hoverpad engines, you can't/can cover up the pads thruster area (2x2 area) with any other blocks above the thruster cap or the block that pinches the hoverpad. This deminishes your thrust returns and causes an unequal thrust ratio while flying at different angles. Such as flying upward = more thrust while flying down prevides almost none possiby. The way trailmakers decides how the thrusters properties are provided are out of my explanation but differ blocks and configurations can cause very different returns.
I happen to have a fond memory of me telling Logictive to cluster the bombs together instead of dropping all 200 or something of them as individual bombs

There is one, but I don't think it is public. Also it doesn't change the power of The explosion, just adds a mushroom cloud effect.
Reminds me of when I made a flying nuke. 10/10 very bomb.
The nice thing about a big bomb, for some people when they miss there will still be an explosion, but no more pc.
