EVERYONE I FOUND OUT WHY THE WHEEL ONLY CENTERS TO THE MIDDLE the reason it only centers to the middle or doesn’t counter steer was because your settings most likely, your setting should be: Prediction 0.5, Stability 2.0, Acceleration 0,5, Inertia 0.3 and Assist off, if it still doesn’t work LET ME KNOW!

what if ur wheel doesnt do a full 360 and a 180 is it still the same with letting it slide?

@@Artoria721if it’s not fully turning 900 degrees then maybe it’s your settings, if you go in your settings try to find “Steering Wheel Angle” and make sure it says 900 degrees if it is set as 900 degrees already then it might be the wheel you bought let me know what wheel you have

I've done f1, I've done gt4,3,2 & 1 in gran Turismo and I've done wrc. Im now trying to do something different and Drifting is that new thing so this has helped me a lot.

I tried car x yesterday the first time and what helped me alot was to put Ackermen angle to 0 in the car tuning.

Just a friendly tip from a new viewer, just clean up the setup such as your cables and the the drink can😂 because it just gives off a noob vibe from new viewers such as myself but you sound great and the videos seem very professional except for the messy cables but overall nice video man ❤

Because carx has bad tire physics I would recommend Beamng if ur trying to drift in a game as that has everything more realistic

Im a god at drifting in any game but this game here showed me just how twrrible i truly am thanks for the tips i just started looking up videos after abt 2 months of playing on my own with a steering wheel and well the clutch kick i learned myself and called it dumping the clutch and hitting rev limiter and let go
Could you share your wheel settings? do you fully calibrate the steering on the wheel in game or stop it before it gets fully locked? Feel like im getting there with this game but my steering wheel settings aint the greatest.
Got a t300 2 weeks ago. Always been a Motorsports fan (ovals) but just decided to give this game a try always looking for new things to drive. Hopefully this helps because I’m awful. 😂

Need your settings real bad . My wheel feels like a rock and idk why , yours looks smooth and easy to turn , #needdat
Finally, after many hours and videos this one managed to make do my first drift! Tho im having troubles not spinning out the other way after i've managed to get my drift going. Any tips for this?
I’m glade the video helped! try letting the wheel slide back when transitioning and if your spinning out a lot, before spinning out put the clutch in to kill the power to the car. I hope this helps!
@@UntitledGaming9 I just found out that the G29 (that I had) was the main problem. If I let go of the wheel, it didn't do anything (did not spin or anything, might have been a fault or something), and I had to manually turn and spin it which was very hard! I just returned the G29 and ordered a belt driver wheel (Thrustmaster T300) and pray that it will be easier xD Good tip about the clutch right there!
I swear them G29’s have so many problems 😂 the T300 should treat you a lot better!
Left foot brake lightly to slow the transition speed then pour power back on slowly or pull some caster out

Should I turn auto clutch off?
That’s mostly personal preference, if you have fun with auto clutch then you can keep it on but having a clutch for drifting helps a lot with clutch kicks and when your over rotating, moral of the story maybe try it without it for a bit just to see how it is :)
great video, I only have one problem. my wheel only spins back to the center and not to correct the car's position.

all that happens to me is i spin out every time i can’t even get my to slide in one direction i press on the gas a tad bit and spin out
haha yeah but it obly work with the force feedback wheels haha. Some wheels dont have ffb the are on spring haha and you need to do everything by yourself

Just bought the game and I keep spinning out. I'm trying to work on the throttle control but idk why every time the car shifts up it just spins out by itself. It's frustrating I'm going back to Carfest🤣
My wheel knocks and it like hits back and forth, it's so aggressive but with lower force feedback it doesn't turn, if force feedback is to high it does the knocking and the aggressive jerking back and forth

Do you have a settings for steering wheel? Now after update it's even more settings in here and i can't find what is the best settings i should use in carx
I don’t really have specific wheel settings on, but I could definitely check them out when I get back home and let you know if there’s anything big changes!

Which map is easy for a completely new person to get in and practice doughnuts? I have the parking garage area but it doesn't look as open to do doughnuts as where you are doing them.
The video was on East Touge, which is a pretty good map. It’s got some wide open spots and once you get a little more comfortable there’s good corners to try!
the free livery's are really free on console but on PC free ish witch meant pay to drift but its only 5 bucks on pc

The livery was free on my ps4 but not my pc
im trying to drift since 5 days and no matter how many videos i watch the second i drive i start spinning out
Try going to a corner and stopping before you go into it, do a little clutch kick into it and let that wheel slide, catch it when you feel is right and then from there feather the throttle and do little adjustments with the wheel. It might seem really annoying but just practice that, you’ll start seeing progress even if it doesn’t seem like it. I hope this helped!

I just have stock settings, but if you don’t like them I’d look up some settings videos and see which ones you like 😁

That’s strange, I always tell people to make sure there wheel is fully setup right, unfortunately these wheels are super picky 😂 just the other day mine stopped having force feedback for no reason so I restarted my pc. Most cases the wheel usually isn’t fully plugged in, but what wheel do you have?
Just got my wheel not to long ago and I’m confused you said let the wheel glide through your hands and when I try to do that my wheel just stops right in the middle everytime

Whenever I start a drift and I try to catch the wheel the car just spins out i can drift in asseto, but idk what's the problem in carx.
Assetto is a lot more realistic then CarX. CarX is a lot more Arcade like. With CarX try letting the wheel spin a lot more freely then Assetto. And make sure your throttle control is good. And once your car starts to spin out put the clutch in. But the main thing is CarX doesn’t need as much assistance with the steering so a lot of it is letting the wheel find that straight point. I hope this helps!

From my experience switching between the games with Assetto obviously it’s a lot more real so when you jump on Carx you got the instinct to save the car like Assetto but the biggest thing I can tell you is it’s a lot more in the peddles then the actual steering wheel 😂 try letting the wheel slide a lot more, and yes if the car starts to spin out put the clutch in and kill the power. I hope this helped

how do i know when to stop countersteering? after the drift the car just snaps the other way, but when i try to stop it from snapping back i spin out
Try grabbing the wheel a little more when stopping the drift to keep it straight, and if you feel the car wanting to spin out try putting the clutch in to kill the power so it doesn’t spin out as much, I hope this helped!

I cant hold an angle tho I start the drift let go but if i catch the wheel to early i spin out and if i do it just a little later it straightens out
For the most part I’d say when you grab the wheel to early that’s not to bad, if you see the car wanting to straighten out adjust the wheel to which ever way will give you more angle as well as a clutch kick to give it a little bit more power. Now for the spinning out part if you find yourself spinning out a lot I’d suggest as soon as you see it wanting to spin put the clutch in, that’ll help cut the power to the wheels and should help.
Most the time as soon as you catch the wheel you got to be ready to do whatever adjustments the car needs in the moment.

And try your best to not use a handbrake, if you use the handbrake too early into learning it’s gonna be hard to do it without it.

Make sure you don’t have wheel assist on, that’ll mess it up a lot!
Man i bought a wheel because i been playing my buddy’s i got really good at it but i got mine on my xbox and i literally can’t figure it out i think pc just better 😂

My g920 keeps centering and won't glide through. Keeps spinning me out. Does anyone know of a setting I can change to fix this?
You might have a faulty power cable, that same thing happened to me. It’s either the power cable is faulty or it isn’t plugged in all the way
This was actually very helpful. CarX is brutal with its lack of explanation. I really loved that the "tutorial" was just putting me in a stage - no explanation, no "here's what you need to try" - just, "here's a place to drift." Also, the assist vs. no assist is insane. Assist on - can't accelerate WITHOUT drifting. Assist off - barely drift taking the corner at 50. Really? There has to be a happy medium in there somewhere! And with the opening track tutorial - why does it not let me keep going? Once I come to a complete stop, I have to reset and start over. Is there something I'm missing? I'll keep trying, but I was shocked how difficult the game was and how it basically just tosses you in and says, "Here's a stage built for it, so DRIFT!"
I’m very glade this was helpful! I’m not to sure why it doesn’t let you keep going, but at the start it can definitely be pretty hard because the car they give you isn’t really even tuned properly so it makes it a lot more difficult
