You probably already know this, but for those who might not, that orange glow when these old marbles are put under a black light is caused by the cadmium that used to be used for yellow pigments! Not too common anymore because cadmium can be dangerous but it's fine in glass like a marble.
I always love your content. Sometimes I'll go a couple months without being able to watch then I'll get a couple free evenings and binge everything I missed and I ALWAYS learn something. Never stop making content! Your channel is a gem. Feels like what RUclips was intended to be.
I found another one today that is yellow that glow bright orange
Poor Squirrel Man, all that rainy wetness takes the fun out of the outdoors. Great finds today, That big stoneware marble, then the black w/ yellow patch marble. That makes it worth the trip out there in the rain. :~)

Rain time treasure! The blue Bennington is a piece of recovered history, it's amazing. Love the others as well---and yeah, I hear Squirrel Man saying 'yes' to blueberry breakfast...we had waffles with strawberries yesterday, yum!

Always love your videos, your pursuing your passion with wonder and amazement, it is uplifting to me, especially on days when I'm beat up. I played with marbles when I was a kid in 60s, appreciate their gem like beauty, but just got a bunch in a recent auction, starting my journey in marble collecting, am getting my 16 grandchildren each their own starter marble sets. Thanks man!

I just hope it doesnt rain as hard tomorrow. I was so muddy it was crazy today. I fell up on the hill and a big jug rolled and it had water in it....and it busted all over my pants and went all down in my boots...ahhaha. Had stinky liquid all in it. I am a mess today

Can't understand how the ACL labels stay intact where you are digging. Your definitely blessed. Love that large salt glazed marble. You never disappoint with the great finds Rocks ! Take care and best regards !
It just depends on the area of the hill. They are not all good. I think I filmed a few today....but I did not take any of them home. Some of the paint was missing. Like those rolling rocks with the 1939 date. 80% of those are good when they come out. The paint is thicker. Same with the 1960's Pepsi bottles. 9/10 of those are usually good to take. The other stuff....the older acl's....usually all destroyed.
@@rockscousteau Oh okay you do find bad ones. Yes those Rolling Rocks are great bottles. It's always great to see those intact survivors you find just the same. Yea...Little by little. I just found all junker marbles today.....but got into more cool plastic toys. I had to move off that marble hot spot. It is to wet in there now.
Not looking good for it to stop either. Looks like rain for a week....Mud Hole digging all week.
