      I guess Biggar will have more time on his hands since Toulon seemed to have fallen out of love with him. 😮

    Hated DB as a player, but probably because he was so good. What a brain though, really good insight and comes across as a bloke you’d love to have a beer with and just listen to his insight. 👏👏

    I am a Quins supporter. Watching this (for the first time) simply had me chuckling, given our win at the weekend.
    We are I admit a tricky team to support as you never know how we are going to perform, but with my 30+ years of being behind them, I do know better than to doubt them. Let's see how we fair against Toulouse. COYQ!

    You english chaps tend to forget how passionate we are in France and how playing away makes such a big difference. Sarries were overwhelmed and crushed in ALL PHASES of the game last week end. ( I also gotta admit that we had it good at the stadium bar with Sarries Fans ! ) Shout out to them

    • @sebwilliams1351

      Bit of an odd comment. Jim Hamilton is Scottish and Dan Biggar is Welsh for a start. Also, they both constantly referenced how hard it is to play away at a team like Bordeaux because of the atmosphere

    • @jakeclough8090
      @jakeclough8090 5 месяцев назад +1

      Don’t overestimate yourself lad, your crowd was dead quiet that first half. Harlequins and Exeter have both gone away and beaten french teams this season. Yeah sure atmosphere helps but it’s all that complicated why Bordeaux in, their backs are just 10x better than the sarries backs. Every single Bordeaux back at the weekend, or at least 5 of them are comfortably a lot better than their Saracens opposition

    As an Exeter fan, I'm delighted with the win and am glad that when all else fails, we have the old reliable pick-n-goo. But what worries me is whether we can adapt to a team that defends the pick-n-goo well.

    I think marcus smith is better at full back than fly-half.

  • @bolton121
    @bolton121 5 месяцев назад +1

    As a Quins fan I'd say if Marcus if ever wants to be world class he'll need to move to a different club. He needs to stretch muscles and grow in a way that Quins just doesn't practice week in week out. Would be a huge loss for Quins but probably a gain for Smith

  • @Stdy1
    @Stdy1 5 месяцев назад +1

    Be interesting to give Marcus test 1 and Fin test 2. I remember many moons ago when we had Geraghty and Flood when they were young. Up and coming. We played France in the 6N and I can't remember which one started but the other came off the bench and they both had stormers but then it didn't materialise. Hope it isn't the same with Fin and Marcus

    • @newchannelname3395
      @newchannelname3395 5 месяцев назад +2

      I hope we give the 1st test to Ford, and the 2nd test to Ford.
      The Smiths will have their moment, but a bit of continuity in selection would do the English back division a world of good.

    I understand what he’s saying about managing a game when you’re ahead but Quins don’t have the pack to play for territory. They have to keep playing the ball. They did win the Premiership a couple of years ago like that remember. If they had sarries pack then they might be able to close out games more easily.

    Penaud is very like Talea for NZ, big, strong, fast, great feet, hands, always beats his first man and can do it for the full 80....like Biggar says, pops up everywhere, carries, rucks, tackles, does the lot. In comparison, Duhan VDM only carries effectively when in space. Doesn't kick well, poor passer, defensively questionable and goes missing for long periods in big games.

    • @jakeclough8090
      @jakeclough8090 5 месяцев назад +1

      Nah definitely not, he’s more slippery. Feyi-waboso is more like telea. Goes into contact but then either makes lots of post-contact metres or slips out of them. Penaud just evades tackles completely. Best winger in the world though for sure

    • @Damomasts
      @Damomasts 5 месяцев назад

      @@jakeclough8090 agree, Penaud evades most tackles but otherwise, I see a lot of similarities with Talea.
