I've found that after the timer gets wet and loses numbers I can often get them back by puttiung the timer on a mild heat source like over a light bulb in a lamp or heating outlet. Not guaranteed but doesn't require specila soldering technique.
I just got mine and the alarm set-up still blinks even if I already put it on "lock". Also probably the reason why my alarm doesn't go off. How can I fix this? Thank you.
Nice video. I have the same clock but with "negative LCD". The display is black and digits are transparent. I have an issue that top segments stopped working. I have managed to find the issue is on LCD side of the tape, not from PCB side like Yours. I have managed to press back the tape to LCD with a match but adhesive is not holding it properly. The segments are somewhat faiding. I think the current is to small to power it properly. Do You have any fix for that issue? I cannot buy a new clock, because they do not sell them any more.
Thanks very interesting. Quite like the clock btw, what make is it? I saw "Lucent" on the top, is that the brand? Also do you know if you can keep the backlight on at all times or does it only work in the dark?
Lucent is a brand but they are all the same like others. Yes you can turn on the light there's a switch, when it sense a dark surrounding it will light up, but the battery will drain easily for one month or two months only
How windy is that bedroom jesus
lol! Maybe there's a cooling fan or something in the room...
