I was there, 19 yrs old. This tribute to Keith Moon was amazing. The Tubes, Todd Rundgren, Zappa, Tom Petty and Peter Gabriel on stage at the same time...stuff legends are made of!
@@hideousbillbadger8625 Now Hideous Bill, you have the advantage of me as I'm using my real name.. I know who I was there with ..intigued to know which of them was you.
I read this was performed the day after Keith Moon died. The Tubes were playing at Knebworth, Todd Rundgren was there and the band asked him to sing with them on this song.

Mind you, there may well have been several Steve Lee's there!
One of the weekend's highlights.
I was there too. The weekend after my first Reading Festival. That's a great two weeks I'll never get back, but the memories are good medicine.

I recorded the whole set at Knebworth, this was their tribute to Keith as he had died the previous day.
I was there, remember it well!
I was there also - a very moving tribute.
Hi Paul. I didn’t even know this happened until now. I was there in 1979
@@davidjessep1786 I don't think I realised at the time that Todd was on on stage with the Tubes for the tribute (d'oh!)
Cool!
