@@TeuluTribe The US operated the canal until 1977 in return for building it, really finishing the work started by France. Then from 1977-1999 the US jointly operated it with Panama. Hi Guys, Oat milk is super easy to make and bulk oats keep really well especially if you repackage them into vacuum sealed bags of a convenient size. The only tricky bit is you need a few ice cubes to keep it cold while blending it. I don't recall if you have a freezer on board. Or a blender for that matter... In any case, thank you for sharing your adventures with us! It brings back memories of sailing the great barrier reef and chartering a 43 foot cat in Martinique. Fair winds and all the best from California! 🧡
Hope your wait to transit the canal is not overly long, it's nice to see you crossing into the other big ocean. May your time in the pacific be enjoyable.
You can put lettuce in ziplock bags in the fridge. They keep fresh much longer. Herein Costa Rica i used to buy 3.8L jugs of milk, but they kept going off days before the marked sell by date so i switched to powdered milk (slightly more expensive as its full cream), but it tastes just as good as fresh and lasts much longer. As you say, you need a good whisk to make sure it has no lumps but its great.
Wow Wow Wow!!! Guys, we have just spent the last couple of weeks binge watching your videos from start to finish. What an amazing adventure you are on. We have cried with your sad times and your happy times and laughed out loud so many times. I wish we could film and tell a story as well as you two do, it is really inspiring to see how you have grown from those early days. Best wishes for the next part of your journey.
I know you two are sick of hearing this but the both of you are absolutely adorable! Your parents have built magnificent humans. I do love watching y’all. I wish you both continued good health, fair winds and following seas.

Was there at Shelter Bay Marina when I helped Mothership through the Panama Canal a couple of years ago. Amazing place. Well done for getting all the way there from here in the UK!
At that latitude, coming from London-Amsterdam-Berlin latitude, it struck me how in the morning, roughly at 6, sunrise felt like someone switched the light on and 12 hours later switched it off again. Peripheral speed is much higher there, relative to the sun. Also, at "home" latitude the middle line of the moon (easily visible at half moon) has a different angle to the horizon.
Wow brought back memories of my trip in 2013. Ft Sherman then, looked the same. Such a strange place with a pivotal impact on history, including the downfall of Gen. Manuel Noriega. It’s so wonderful to appreciate my past through your explorations. Thank you. Hope you enjoy your time there in Panama and your trip through the canal.

Leaving those beautiful islands must have been hard. But on yet on! And it's going to be another ocean soon! Has to be said the bigger ships look scary on film, must be pretty nervy on the high traffic bits. Thanks for taking us on this amazing adventure with you. Safe and happy sailing to you both!⛵🙏
Nice trip to the old Army barracks. Very strange they are still cutting the grass, whilst the buildings are deteriorating. Weird! You Atlantic voyage is finished; now into the Pacific. I hope you've timed your weather window correctly, to avoid any major storms when you get there. I've been watching the BBC Weather News and they've been having horrendous weather in California, due to a 'Weather River' bringing storms down from the North. Fair Winds... IF you're lucky.
Putting out the pole gives you something to do!!!! Hi HI! Also, you guys need to get some safety harness, & use it. To see you both hanging on to whatever is close to you is a bit concerning. If a rouge wave came, you could be tossed off the boat!
Are you planning on installing a wind vane system before you start your Pacific crossing. It should give you a better ride and more time to relax and sleep.

That rain storm; if you had got out a 3 metre by 2 metre (10 feet by 6 feet) of butyl or tarpaulin sheeting, in a 6mm rainfall (an it was probably greater than that, with just 6mm (¼-inch) if rain, you would have collected 36 litres (nearly 8 UK gallons or 9½ US gallons) of potable water.
