Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba | Christmas Celebrations of Yesteryears

Christmas is truly a magical time at Prasanthi Nilayam. Although the method of celebration has changed over the years, the energy, the joy, the pervading sense of togetherness and love has remained the same. This video is a humble attempt by the Sathya Sai Sannidhi team to take us through the Christmas celebrations of the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. The video starts with Swami blessing overseas children after their Christmas drama on the Nativity of Jesus in the Poornachandra Auditorium in the late 1970s. We then see glimpses of Swami granting morning darshan on Christmas Day in 1983 as students sing Christmas carols. Thereafter, we are blessed with Swami's Divine Christmas Discourse from the late 1970s, in which He speaks about the glory of Jesus Christ and the importance of unity. Finally, the video ends with the highlight of every Christmas...the glorious Silver Door Darshan wherein Bhagawan would grant darshan from the balcony of the Prasanthi Mandir during the glittering Christmas dawn. No matter what time of the year it is, this video will put us in the Christmas spirit!
