Since I keep hearing in the news that the lead singer of Spiritbox was mistaken for Poppy, I've been wanting to listen to more Spirtbox. 😂 They've just been on my mind the past couple days. I picked one that you guys have suggested for awhile now and that's Circle With Me with Tatiana Schmayluk!

Met Jinjer twice and they are very nice people. Very humble and down to earth.
Oh wow, that's awesome that you got to meet them. And twice! They seem down to earth in all the videos I've watched so far. 😊
Courtney and Tati sound great singing together. And they did this with no rehearsal together. Love near the end with Courtney's cleans and Tati growling behind her.
Louder Than Life is in Louisville Ky. And speaking of Poppy, she joined Spiritbox, also at this festival, on the all harsh vocal song "Soft Spine". That song is on the upcoming 2nd album. They have 4 EP's as well.

Soft Spine was one of the ones I listened to yesterday when I recorded some so that will be up eventually! 😊I did the music video though, I saw the Poppy one pop up afterwards and thought it was so funny that they teamed up when they were confused for each other recently. 😅
And yeah, I really loved the clean/growling parts together too. Such a good mix!
This was an epic collaboration, for me I think is was the best collaboration of 2024.

They really do make a great team!
They have a lot of variety, so some songs are fully harsh vocals, some are only clean, and some are a mix. Very different vibes from the EPs and album. And of course the new album Tsunami Sea is out fairly soon!
I'll definitely be checking out the new album. 😊I'm glad they have a lot of variety in their sound, I never know what I'm gonna get going into it and that makes it exciting haha.

They had zero rehersal for this, and the sound guys messed up and didn't have Tati's mic turned up enough at the start of the performance. Thankfully Spiritbox mixed it and gave us this epic collab to enjoy! \m/ You mention listening to more Spiritbox, and also mentioned the Poppy grammys thing... Spiritbox also had Poppy join in on 'Soft Spine' during this same show. It has pretty cool drone footage.
Yeah! I heard about Poppy joining them on stage too but I didn't see it until after I already recorded a video for the Soft Spine video. 😅 Oh well, just another video I will need to check out! That's awesome that they were able to fix the audio like that.. cause she sounded amazing, as always!

Spiritbox is an amazing band with very talented musicians. They got the recongnition they deserve.
Eternal Blue for me is one of the bests albums of 2021, it´s always on my playlist.

As you said, it's been a long time coming but well worth the wait Nikki, this is by far the best version of Circle With Me, and a dream collaboration for fans of both Spiritbox and Jinjer, also since you mentioned the Courtney/Poppy mix up at the awards, if you're interested there's the song Soft Spine, by Spiritbox featuring Poppy live from this same show
Soft Spine is one that I recorded but I didn't see the Poppy addition until afterwards. 🤦🏻♀ But I will check that one out too eventually. So funny they did a song together and were also mixed up at the Grammy's lol.
so this is your second visit to Spiritbox, 1st time was a request of mine, Bleach Bath around Halloween, you said it gave you the creeps, so mission accomplished 😅...I know you're not really a fan of harsh vocals Nikki but their song Cellar Door is a must, it's actually the song they were nominated for at the awards, and that Poppy mix up there was hilarious, Courtney must've laughed her head off afterwards 😂
Yep! Bleach Bath definitely filled the Rocktober theme very well! 😅 I will check out Cellar Door next time I listen to them! Someone else told me they released a new song too, just 20 minutes after I uploaded this. I wish I had known that was coming lol. But, I have been wanting to check out this one for awhile anyway.. I guess the more videos, the better. 😁🎵
Lol gr8 collab..... tati is a gr8 vocal technician for false chord harsh-clean switches as usual and courtney also does a gr8 job with all her vocals.

Such an awesome performance. I recommend checking out Courtney's vocal one take on this song. the screams with pitch and flips mid word from clean to harsh to clean are mind blowing.

The noise you were asking about in the breakdown is guitar. They call it the Gojira scrape. It’s not a note, but just a percussive noise from compressing the strings and running the pick across them.

Demon Hunter and set the sun has the best song together, it's called falling apart + there is a new band out as well. They are called mourning eve and their song is also called holy hell. If you get a chance please check them out.
This was a great performance, the duets were amazing - their voices fitted perfectly with each others. When I saw the thumbnail I knew that you’d be impressed! As a matter of interest, Courtney has a young but very talented protégé, Harper - she’s been on AGT and had Simon Cowel 🤯! She’s actually done a few Spiritbox and Jinjer covers. Well worth a listen, but not really reaction material.
Probably best to jump in with her last single "Bird in a Cage."
