This chapter is high-key incredible. Boruto and those who have been won over by him so far are about to engage in a shinobi mission right under the noses of the entire shinobi world to make sure that they don't provoke Kawaki.

I would love to see shikimaru get caught by the village, helping Boruto an enemy ninja. Have him go to jail or even face being executed. Or even have him be executed. Then creating motivation for Ino to HAVE to read borutos mind for confirmation and closure. Either to help save shikimaru or just to add that much more salt on the wounds of his death that Ino accidentally aided in the death of one of her best friends
Honestly same, don’t get me wrong part of me is just wanting her to be guilt tripped but the other part of me genuinely wants her to feel the weight of a decision she made on emotions and not a choice she made as a ninja/a friend. Which results in her life long friends death.

Yeah think the downplay for Omnipotence is real, we see the real time effects in this chapter as Shikamaru tries to even recall why he's helping Boruto. Shikamaru the constantly over analyzing Genius is actively struggling, juxtaposed to Ino who no shade to her, but with the stress of Inojin and her already wariness, it was easy for her to go back and drink the Kool-Aid and it shows.
KK knew Amado has that shut down code on him ever since he saw how delta got handled. He’s smart to keep his distance and boruto said he don’t do paperwork 😂
Great video, and I’m glad you covered this topic because I’ve seen Ino getting a lot of unnecessary hate for this chapter. Personally, I think she’s going to help in the end. I’ve seen someone make a great point in saying that they think it all comes down to Asuma’s final words for Ino to look after Shikamaru, and Asuma’s promise to Asuma might be what motivates her to trust in Shikamaru and stick beside him knowing he’s in hot water currently, and that will be her motivation to fight off omnipotence.
Imo that would be trash. Let's us keep the moment. She didn't trust him, betray him. They shouldn't make up or apologize. It should be kept as is. And when or the big reveal happens. Let that crush her more, but she can rejoice that her child is alive...no thanks too her untrusted hokage/friend.

Yes because he want to get rid of momoshiki. So when he sent naruto away to keep him save than him being desperate made Eida activate omipotence. And than Kawaki saw the ideal opportunity to get momoshiki killed without kawaki having to do that..he only has to tell them boruto did it. But i think now he knows boruto isnt snitching on him he might change plan in the future and seal him away instead of killing.

I don’t understand how people be hating on Ino for not helping, i might be missing something but as far as she knows the same "people" who made her son a donut are the same people who Kawaki reported to be working with Boruto and killed 5 other leaf Shinobi. I think that omnipotence being originally shibais jutsu was created so people forgot being manipulated. And when they realize, the effect becomes stronger. Only if Eida can control it, it can be undone. I think Ino for now won't help Shikamaru which may cause him being exposed as the one who arranged boruto's escape. He'll lose his position and become a fugitive. I think than Ino will realize how strong Shika's belief is cause she knows hes not the type to do reckless things. She'll decide to help him and Boruto. Next hokage, possible konohamaru could be the next convinced and helping boruto
Also: it might be arranged that shikamaru connects ino and Boruto and she can read his mind and confirm he's telling the truth. Than they have to find a way to make others realize it by making boruto fight side by side

Daemon funny af everytime I read his parts I start laughing mf be trolling and was mad af kawaki didn’t get put in a tough spot😂. mitsuki is a real one fasho. I never really fukd with shikamaru like that but he goin hard right now I do feel like he’s gonna die idk why but I’m getting those vibes. Maybe not soon but I don’t think he will survive this whole manga. There’s really just a lot of on a tightrope type stuff going on. Skikamaru is like one mistake away from being killed. The shinju are getting stronger, the other villages are going to be in chaos and think about it because of omnipotence one mistake could lead to the villages attacking certain konoha characters leading to other problems because they kind of “woken” up to the fact that something is not right. It’s just chaos due to not having a full understanding of the situation. A true metaphor to the real world.
I wonder if Omnipotence would affect how Ino sees his memories since Boruto's memories are not affected by Omnipotence because he is an Otsutsuki. But that shouldn't be the case. In any case, That's her son. Ino couldn't bear to lose Inojin; she's a mother and would do anything to protect her son.

Well to be fair mitsuki has been having doubts about kawaki since chapter 1 cause the memories that he has that used to be about boruto but are now about kawaki contradict what he see's from kawaki cause kawaki unlike boruto is constant asshole to him and treats him more like a nuisance then he does a friend let alone the person he's viewed for so long as the shining sun in his life. He was also listening to the conversation kawaki was having with daemon and eida as kawaki was asked what is he going to do if everyone in the village finds out he's been lying the whole time if boruto were to try out him and he heard that right outside the door and when kawaki walked out and saw him he didn't even care but was annoyed by him and mitsuki if you don't like take it up with the hokage cause he was ordered to be there so When he knocked out kawaki after had sensed boruto in the village it was partly to protect him from boruto while still seeking revenge and also to see if he can confirm his suspicions and doubts he's been having based off kawaki actions towards him and what he's been hearing which he chooses to ignore cause his memories tell him kawaki is still his son. So seeing how much stronger boruto had become when he tried to kill him and when boruto was easily overpowering and stopping every move he tried without once ever trying to kill him and only wanted to talk and remind him that he is actually the sun in his life and he had no reason to hear him out and believe a single word he said but his words and actions once again contradicted his reality that he believed cause boruto who supposed to be kawaki after the switching lives shouldn't even know about that let alone care about it and yet mitsuki without any reason too couldn't dismiss his words or find any doubt in his actions cause he how treated him in that moment is how he remembers and expects kawaki to be treating him but never once has which also very telling that even though kawaki fabricated everything and forced this life onto everyone and got so cocky and comfortable in the belief even if there's small doubts everyone would forget that doubt and question nothing so there was no reason for him to play the part of the kind hearted gentle outspoken person that everyone believes he is because that's how boruto was. Him not trying to sell his lie and being so cocky that he will never found out until the day he feels he's accomplished his goal and then unseals naruto and hinata.
I also wanna point out that ino's entire jutsu being based on the mind and thoughts of others it can also be a case where she just trusts her own altered memory more than anyone's. I think the main issue for Ino vs Shikamaru is also HOW they think, with the former likely stretching her intelligence by passive telepathy gathering information, which would all be filtered by omnipotence, while Shikamaru has always questioned EVERYTHING, like how to make clouds to use shadows farther, he is more likely to accept a basic principle being altered in the world than she is to separate from everything affected by Omnipotence.
Im honestly waiting for a Sakura moment now after this. I really wana know what shes been dealing with and how shes been like combating it. Im sure if saradas been harassing Shikamaru then i know for a fact she explained it all to her mom, and of course Sakura will trust her. Plus Boruto basically confirmed for them and the Leaf Sasukes capture...shes definitely going to be an ally down the line for Boruto, plus when she sees his Drip Game she will be instantly reminded of Sasuke.

That's not jow Omnipotence works. It's not a genjitsu, it's basically mind manipulation. If disrupting chakra was all that was needed, shit like that would've been done a while back. Those memories of Boruto no longer exist in their heads so there's no way to get ur real memories back

Personally, I get that omnipotence messed with her a lot I just didn’t like how she’s portrayed morally because for the most part she did help Sakura with the children’s clinic so she seen first hand how affected children were in traumatic situations. So in a sense when she questioned Shikamaru on why he’s helping Boruto out, it just reminds me how her refusal is how everyone ostracized Naruto initially and how Sasuke was treated down the line. So in a way she’s not seeing Naruto’s ideology of helping any child regardless of their upbringing when she got skeptical of Shikamaru. Top it off, Inoichi said her best quality was to help her friends. And how Asuma said in his dying breath to look after her teammates. Granted the situation is different now because of her position but she was not one to let things pass by her. When she was rivals with Sakura she debated a lot on helping her when the Sound Ninja attacked her during the Chunin Exams. And with Boruto having the death order on him, in the Five Kage Summit Arc she was one of the few that opposed Sasuke’s assassination. I don’t like using the anime for an argument but in Shikamaru’s case yeah Inojin got hurt but she ironically did a 180 of what she said based off that episode in the Kara Actuation Arc when she was with Sakura and Hinata. She put her parental feelings first then aptitude of being a Shinobi second. Again, I know omnipotence erased what happened prior and it’s like narrative reason. But I just feel like Ino’s character took a 180. Like her best quality was her loyalty to her friends and this overall theme of Parent-Child bonds kinda overlapped it and turned her into a different person.
NAHHH FR! I’m trying so hard to still love ino because trust me my whole entire time watching Naruto I’ve always seen her as the more positive trustworthy one out of the kunoichi so this was definitely a slap in the face.
1. This case is FAR FAR different because Boruto literally killed her closest friend according to everything that's happened. It's not about Boruto being ostricized, it would be helping Shikamaru with someone they believe killed Naruto 2. She did put her feelings over being a ninja. It's why she asked if it was a Hokage order. And also, what she was doing was protecting Shikamaru. It was literally in character. She was worried for Shikamaru who if he helps Boruto he'd get into trouble and we see that in this chapter already. She was protecting both her child and Shikamaru 3. Her character wasn't about her loyalty to her friends but the care she has for them. Blind loyalty is very stupid and hella dangerous, especially when lives are at stake. Her child almost died and she could do anything about that. U underestimate the gravity of that situation. In her head, the moment they hot involved with Boruto, her son almost died. Ino hasn't changed in the slightest
Ur missing the point actually it's because if her loyalty to shikamaru that she refusing to help. In her mind because boruto is traitor and even when she listened to what he told shikamaru she was skeptical and then thought it ridiculous theory when boruto said he basically doesn't have any proof to prove what he is saying is true and even if they tried to understand or fight omnipotence it will literally force them forget it's existence and accept everything as it is so shikamaru is going to have to trust him only on his word alone and nothing else. So for her there's no reason or even any evidence for her to allow one of her closes friends and someone who's importance is Intercal to the success and future of the entire village to jeopardize his position as the hokage and reputation to help someone who is branded a traitor for not only killing a hokage and his wife but also two people that she considered very close friends especially hinata who she would meet up with along with Sakura to have lunch together or dinner sometimes maybe even drink which is well documented. She can't bring herself to allow shikamaru to risk everything just help a traitor regardless of his efforts in protecting the village multiple times and yes logically speaking those actions should warrant some leeway of possibly giving him the benefit of the doubt in his words but words alone in his situation aren't enough and his actions even he saves every single person in the village time and time again even if the ones he saves in the village are feudal lords themselves for whatever reason they are in the village in the first place it won't matter because he still branded as the traitor who killed the 7th hokage the man who saved the entire world from certain death and as probably the most influential person in the world had truly changed the shinobi system from brutality and selfishness to one of compassion and understanding and killed his wife who was known not just one of the most gifted hyuga in history but someone who was kind and gentle and deeply loved her children and her husband and he's viewed as the one who killed them after they essentially adopted him into their family and made him apart of their village and gave him trust and in everyone eyes including ino he trampled on that trust and that love naruto and hinata they gave him by killing them. So of course not only was she deeply uncomfortable with forcing contact between her closes friend and unforgivable traitor she became more and more doubtful with every word he said because he doesn't show any evidence to prove he should be seen as innocent and by shikamaru literally telling ino to do the same thing in trusting in him without any real evidence to trust his reasoning to help Boruto just as boruto had told him Shikamaru to do the same and for her that's not enough for her to risk his position his reputation as well as the reputation of his family and his clan as well her taking that risk and jeopardizing her family safety because if they both get caught they are both branded as traitors. There's also the problem we have to find out if she is aware of the conversation that Amado had with summerie where he flat states that his memories and everyone else's memories have been manipulated by unseen force and he only knows it happened because of the fact that kawaki body is made of ninja tech that he doesn't remember ever giving him and only remembers and only did so to boruto but knows he did so cause he recognizes his work and states his memories can't be trusted. We know sai saw it being the anbu leader and had shikamaru listen to the entire conversation which lead to him reaching out to ino because of he distrust Amado but at no point does he tell ino about that conversation he heard from Amado so the entire time she being asked to do something she shouldn't be doing and not to ask questions on and just trust him. So honestly it's not surprising that she's refusing to help and I'm not even why shikamaru hasn't shown her what Amado said and it might be because it would look suspicions for her to see it but at the same time it would have helped her understand better when boruto explains what happened to the world cause Amado said it first that everyone memories can't be trusted and then boruto confirms it and even implicates kawaki which would have further raised her suspicion of events because Amado was talking about kawaki importance and isn't worried that boruto in danger. So things could have been handled better by shikamaru but again ino is actually trying to do right by her friend by not letting him run the risk of getting caught helping a traitor and committing treason which is death sentence and there's been no evidence to prove she should help him and risk everything to help boruto.
Maybe psychopath tendencies are keeping kicking in, but I think Ino did that on purpose to stop Shikamaru from doing or saying something that he can't explain. In a weird way, she probably is still with him but is like "Alright bro, shut the hell up before you get us both shot."
its not that simple.. ino isnt a plot device for convenience.. she has her own instincts, inputs, opinions and will to do what she thinks it best too.. shes a character not a telephone

iykyk think of the higgs boson field as what omnipotence can manipulate. its what give particles their mass. meaning that it permeates through and defines anything that IS MASS. now substitute mass with chakra and omnipotence can manipulate chakra at is VERY DEFINITION. it controls the scales that defines anything permeated with chakra indefinitely.

Even if she is justified, what worries me is the fact that by not helping Shikamaru she is basically putting him in a worse position. Pushing him to make even riskier strategies and choices, which can possibly get him killed.

No lie it was good writing with Ino character. Rule of thumb if any character in a work of fiction makes you upset in their actions that does align with their personality, it is GREAT writing. She has always stood opposed to any threat to the leaf, which included Sauske when the Konoha 13 agreed to kill him.

I wanted to share an idea i had while watching, though its slightly unrelated. Sakura mentioned something about Inojin's chakra, like the flow was disrupted and has to heal or something, i forget the exact words. But my idea is, what if Omnipotence, though a Shinjutsu actually is advanced form of genjutsu functionally, taking a greater chakra system rupture like Inojin just suffered instead of being able to just dispel it like any other genjutsu? What if Inojin wakes up and is freed from Omnipotence? How do you think that would play out? Lookin forward to the review tomorrow, you always got quality content bro
It was stated Omnipotence isn't a genjitsu. It's just a form of straight up mind manipulation and erasure. Omnipotence literally replaced everyone's memories. If that was the cade, Boruto would be aware due tk Kashin Koji and things would be simpler If it does happen tho, nothing much would change. Sarada wasn't affected and tried to convince everyone for years and nothing happened. Also Inojin could convince his mom if needed which would be interesting
Momoshiki even said that killing Eida is useless because even that won't reverse the changes. He says himself that Omnipotence is totally different from momentary deceptions like Genjitsu. He made that very clear And if killing the caster doesn't stop it, simply disrupting the Chakra network a bit won't either

Honestly, if Ino kept helping Boruto and Shikamaru she becomes in great danger in the future anyway, so even if that’s not the reason she stopped(not aware anyways), she is lucky she did.
Amado is not manipulating everyone... I think he has Aida's real Omnipotence power.. mark my words... we will find out that Amado used Kawaki and Aida to cast Omnipotence as a means to protect Kawaki... I doubt its for a dead daughter... I think he may be closely related or an actual Otsusuki who fooled Jigen and ultimately Ishiki...

But there isn't any risk of reading his mind. All she's doing is reading his mind and relaying what she saw. There's no risk even if the others blame her on being on his side for some reason she can literally just transfer what she saw to them. I get that she's a mother and all and I do agree her decision about visiting inojin first makes sense in that perspective but she doesn't need to stay there unless she's going to help or she can call sai someone stronger than her if she's worried he's going to get attacked. Even if she refuses there's no reason they don't have more than 1 mind reader.
Ino did not trust her friend. She simply became another idiotic adult who folded and became a part of the system. This was the problem that plagued the former generation. You would think the current generation situation would have more heart, rather than simply grow up to become like their parents. Ino simply became like her father. If Shikaku had not convinced Inoichi to let Naruto pass, and have his conversation with pain, a bunch of characters who are currently alive would have stayed dead. Ino simply follows the trend and becomes like her father. What exactly did she expect when her kid is a ninja? Anything could have happened to Inojin at any time. It did not have to be tree aliens. Another ninja could kill or wound him on a mission. Seriously they speak so much about ninja and duties, but when the worse case happens, they just can't control themselves.
What are you talking about? She literally did that in war by showing everyone the 1st hokages memories of the first kage summit and then did it again with naruto memories that inspired everyone. She is more then capable of doing so but if the person in question is willing to allow her into their mind then the only way is forcefully do it in person which could also be done willingly in person but once again in this situation it's just not logical for Boruto to allow her in person to see into his mind when he can't even trust that she won't secretly call for reinforcements while having him immobilized while going through his memories which wouldn't take long for her to understand that she just made a huge mistake after reading his memories when reinforcement show up and more than likely would have kawaki there and there would be nothing she can do about after learning the truth if all that happens cause boruto would never trust her or shikamaru again and would choose to find a way fix everything himself if he got out that situation without having to hurt anyone from the village or going blow for blow with kawaki who knows he would need to karma to fight him and that's spells disaster for boruto who can't control his own and runs the risk of momoshiki killing everyone there.
Ino cover the entire world with her mind power with ease her dad was dying just connecting the Shinobi alliance the gap between ino and inoichi is wide and ino can make her mind transfer track
Hey I just had an interesting thought about how Kawaki could be exposed, but it would probably cause konoha to turn their back on Amado. What if Shikamaru had Boruto meet with himself and Amado and asked Amado to use the shutdown code on Boruto infront a select audience. I fear though that it would prove to be a useless plot point.

Great video, and I’m glad you covered this topic because I’ve seen Ino getting a lot of unnecessary hate for this chapter. Personally, I think she’s going to help in the end. I’ve seen someone make a great point in saying that they think it all comes down to Asuma’s final words for Ino to look after Shikamaru, and Asuma’s promise to Asuma might be what motivates her to trust in Shikamaru and stick beside him knowing he’s in hot water currently, and that will be her motivation to fight off omnipotence.

Well to be fair mitsuki has been having doubts about kawaki since chapter 1 cause the memories that he has that used to be about boruto but are now about kawaki contradict what he see's from kawaki cause kawaki unlike boruto is constant asshole to him and treats him more like a nuisance then he does a friend let alone the person he's viewed for so long as the shining sun in his life. He was also listening to the conversation kawaki was having with daemon and eida as kawaki was asked what is he going to do if everyone in the village finds out he's been lying the whole time if boruto were to try out him and he heard that right outside the door and when kawaki walked out and saw him he didn't even care but was annoyed by him and mitsuki if you don't like take it up with the hokage cause he was ordered to be there so When he knocked out kawaki after had sensed boruto in the village it was partly to protect him from boruto while still seeking revenge and also to see if he can confirm his suspicions and doubts he's been having based off kawaki actions towards him and what he's been hearing which he chooses to ignore cause his memories tell him kawaki is still his son. So seeing how much stronger boruto had become when he tried to kill him and when boruto was easily overpowering and stopping every move he tried without once ever trying to kill him and only wanted to talk and remind him that he is actually the sun in his life and he had no reason to hear him out and believe a single word he said but his words and actions once again contradicted his reality that he believed cause boruto who supposed to be kawaki after the switching lives shouldn't even know about that let alone care about it and yet mitsuki without any reason too couldn't dismiss his words or find any doubt in his actions cause he how treated him in that moment is how he remembers and expects kawaki to be treating him but never once has which also very telling that even though kawaki fabricated everything and forced this life onto everyone and got so cocky and comfortable in the belief even if there's small doubts everyone would forget that doubt and question nothing so there was no reason for him to play the part of the kind hearted gentle outspoken person that everyone believes he is because that's how boruto was. Him not trying to sell his lie and being so cocky that he will never found out until the day he feels he's accomplished his goal and then unseals naruto and hinata.

I think the main issue for Ino vs Shikamaru is also HOW they think, with the former likely stretching her intelligence by passive telepathy gathering information, which would all be filtered by omnipotence, while Shikamaru has always questioned EVERYTHING, like how to make clouds to use shadows farther, he is more likely to accept a basic principle being altered in the world than she is to separate from everything affected by Omnipotence.
Im honestly waiting for a Sakura moment now after this. I really wana know what shes been dealing with and how shes been like combating it. Im sure if saradas been harassing Shikamaru then i know for a fact she explained it all to her mom, and of course Sakura will trust her. Plus Boruto basically confirmed for them and the Leaf Sasukes capture...shes definitely going to be an ally down the line for Boruto, plus when she sees his Drip Game she will be instantly reminded of Sasuke.

Personally, I get that omnipotence messed with her a lot I just didn’t like how she’s portrayed morally because for the most part she did help Sakura with the children’s clinic so she seen first hand how affected children were in traumatic situations. So in a sense when she questioned Shikamaru on why he’s helping Boruto out, it just reminds me how her refusal is how everyone ostracized Naruto initially and how Sasuke was treated down the line. So in a way she’s not seeing Naruto’s ideology of helping any child regardless of their upbringing when she got skeptical of Shikamaru.
Top it off, Inoichi said her best quality was to help her friends. And how Asuma said in his dying breath to look after her teammates. Granted the situation is different now because of her position but she was not one to let things pass by her. When she was rivals with Sakura she debated a lot on helping her when the Sound Ninja attacked her during the Chunin Exams. And with Boruto having the death order on him, in the Five Kage Summit Arc she was one of the few that opposed Sasuke’s assassination. I don’t like using the anime for an argument but in Shikamaru’s case yeah Inojin got hurt but she ironically did a 180 of what she said based off that episode in the Kara Actuation Arc when she was with Sakura and Hinata. She put her parental feelings first then aptitude of being a Shinobi second.
Again, I know omnipotence erased what happened prior and it’s like narrative reason. But I just feel like Ino’s character took a 180. Like her best quality was her loyalty to her friends and this overall theme of Parent-Child bonds kinda overlapped it and turned her into a different person.
NAHHH FR! I’m trying so hard to still love ino because trust me my whole entire time watching Naruto I’ve always seen her as the more positive trustworthy one out of the kunoichi so this was definitely a slap in the face.
Things change when u have a child.....
1. This case is FAR FAR different because Boruto literally killed her closest friend according to everything that's happened. It's not about Boruto being ostricized, it would be helping Shikamaru with someone they believe killed Naruto
2. She did put her feelings over being a ninja. It's why she asked if it was a Hokage order. And also, what she was doing was protecting Shikamaru. It was literally in character. She was worried for Shikamaru who if he helps Boruto he'd get into trouble and we see that in this chapter already. She was protecting both her child and Shikamaru
3. Her character wasn't about her loyalty to her friends but the care she has for them. Blind loyalty is very stupid and hella dangerous, especially when lives are at stake. Her child almost died and she could do anything about that. U underestimate the gravity of that situation. In her head, the moment they hot involved with Boruto, her son almost died. Ino hasn't changed in the slightest
Ur missing the point actually it's because if her loyalty to shikamaru that she refusing to help. In her mind because boruto is traitor and even when she listened to what he told shikamaru she was skeptical and then thought it ridiculous theory when boruto said he basically doesn't have any proof to prove what he is saying is true and even if they tried to understand or fight omnipotence it will literally force them forget it's existence and accept everything as it is so shikamaru is going to have to trust him only on his word alone and nothing else. So for her there's no reason or even any evidence for her to allow one of her closes friends and someone who's importance is Intercal to the success and future of the entire village to jeopardize his position as the hokage and reputation to help someone who is branded a traitor for not only killing a hokage and his wife but also two people that she considered very close friends especially hinata who she would meet up with along with Sakura to have lunch together or dinner sometimes maybe even drink which is well documented. She can't bring herself to allow shikamaru to risk everything just help a traitor regardless of his efforts in protecting the village multiple times and yes logically speaking those actions should warrant some leeway of possibly giving him the benefit of the doubt in his words but words alone in his situation aren't enough and his actions even he saves every single person in the village time and time again even if the ones he saves in the village are feudal lords themselves for whatever reason they are in the village in the first place it won't matter because he still branded as the traitor who killed the 7th hokage the man who saved the entire world from certain death and as probably the most influential person in the world had truly changed the shinobi system from brutality and selfishness to one of compassion and understanding and killed his wife who was known not just one of the most gifted hyuga in history but someone who was kind and gentle and deeply loved her children and her husband and he's viewed as the one who killed them after they essentially adopted him into their family and made him apart of their village and gave him trust and in everyone eyes including ino he trampled on that trust and that love naruto and hinata they gave him by killing them. So of course not only was she deeply uncomfortable with forcing contact between her closes friend and unforgivable traitor she became more and more doubtful with every word he said because he doesn't show any evidence to prove he should be seen as innocent and by shikamaru literally telling ino to do the same thing in trusting in him without any real evidence to trust his reasoning to help Boruto just as boruto had told him Shikamaru to do the same and for her that's not enough for her to risk his position his reputation as well as the reputation of his family and his clan as well her taking that risk and jeopardizing her family safety because if they both get caught they are both branded as traitors. There's also the problem we have to find out if she is aware of the conversation that Amado had with summerie where he flat states that his memories and everyone else's memories have been manipulated by unseen force and he only knows it happened because of the fact that kawaki body is made of ninja tech that he doesn't remember ever giving him and only remembers and only did so to boruto but knows he did so cause he recognizes his work and states his memories can't be trusted. We know sai saw it being the anbu leader and had shikamaru listen to the entire conversation which lead to him reaching out to ino because of he distrust Amado but at no point does he tell ino about that conversation he heard from Amado so the entire time she being asked to do something she shouldn't be doing and not to ask questions on and just trust him. So honestly it's not surprising that she's refusing to help and I'm not even why shikamaru hasn't shown her what Amado said and it might be because it would look suspicions for her to see it but at the same time it would have helped her understand better when boruto explains what happened to the world cause Amado said it first that everyone memories can't be trusted and then boruto confirms it and even implicates kawaki which would have further raised her suspicion of events because Amado was talking about kawaki importance and isn't worried that boruto in danger. So things could have been handled better by shikamaru but again ino is actually trying to do right by her friend by not letting him run the risk of getting caught helping a traitor and committing treason which is death sentence and there's been no evidence to prove she should help him and risk everything to help boruto.

iykyk think of the higgs boson field as what omnipotence can manipulate. its what give particles their mass. meaning that it permeates through and defines anything that IS MASS. now substitute mass with chakra and omnipotence can manipulate chakra at is VERY DEFINITION. it controls the scales that defines anything permeated with chakra indefinitely.

No lie it was good writing with Ino character. Rule of thumb if any character in a work of fiction makes you upset in their actions that does align with their personality, it is GREAT writing. She has always stood opposed to any threat to the leaf, which included Sauske when the Konoha 13 agreed to kill him.

I wanted to share an idea i had while watching, though its slightly unrelated. Sakura mentioned something about Inojin's chakra, like the flow was disrupted and has to heal or something, i forget the exact words. But my idea is, what if Omnipotence, though a Shinjutsu actually is advanced form of genjutsu functionally, taking a greater chakra system rupture like Inojin just suffered instead of being able to just dispel it like any other genjutsu? What if Inojin wakes up and is freed from Omnipotence? How do you think that would play out?

It was stated Omnipotence isn't a genjitsu. It's just a form of straight up mind manipulation and erasure. Omnipotence literally replaced everyone's memories. If that was the cade, Boruto would be aware due tk Kashin Koji and things would be simpler
If it does happen tho, nothing much would change. Sarada wasn't affected and tried to convince everyone for years and nothing happened. Also Inojin could convince his mom if needed which would be interesting
Momoshiki even said that killing Eida is useless because even that won't reverse the changes. He says himself that Omnipotence is totally different from momentary deceptions like Genjitsu. He made that very clear

I think little by little everyone will be in Boruto side. This chapter literally had two people indirectly stated that.
But there isn't any risk of reading his mind. All she's doing is reading his mind and relaying what she saw. There's no risk even if the others blame her on being on his side for some reason she can literally just transfer what she saw to them.
I get that she's a mother and all and I do agree her decision about visiting inojin first makes sense in that perspective but she doesn't need to stay there unless she's going to help or she can call sai someone stronger than her if she's worried he's going to get attacked.
Even if she refuses there's no reason they don't have more than 1 mind reader.

Ino did not trust her friend. She simply became another idiotic adult who folded and became a part of the system. This was the problem that plagued the former generation. You would think the current generation situation would have more heart, rather than simply grow up to become like their parents.
Ino simply became like her father. If Shikaku had not convinced Inoichi to let Naruto pass, and have his conversation with pain, a bunch of characters who are currently alive would have stayed dead. Ino simply follows the trend and becomes like her father.
What exactly did she expect when her kid is a ninja? Anything could have happened to Inojin at any time. It did not have to be tree aliens. Another ninja could kill or wound him on a mission.
Seriously they speak so much about ninja and duties, but when the worse case happens, they just can't control themselves.

The day that Omnipotence finally fails is the Day that Kawaki destroys Konoha.
Ino's dad could have went into Boruto's mind a validated his innocence in 5 secs, but Ino apparently isn't on that level yet.
What are you talking about? She literally did that in war by showing everyone the 1st hokages memories of the first kage summit and then did it again with naruto memories that inspired everyone. She is more then capable of doing so but if the person in question is willing to allow her into their mind then the only way is forcefully do it in person which could also be done willingly in person but once again in this situation it's just not logical for Boruto to allow her in person to see into his mind when he can't even trust that she won't secretly call for reinforcements while having him immobilized while going through his memories which wouldn't take long for her to understand that she just made a huge mistake after reading his memories when reinforcement show up and more than likely would have kawaki there and there would be nothing she can do about after learning the truth if all that happens cause boruto would never trust her or shikamaru again and would choose to find a way fix everything himself if he got out that situation without having to hurt anyone from the village or going blow for blow with kawaki who knows he would need to karma to fight him and that's spells disaster for boruto who can't control his own and runs the risk of momoshiki killing everyone there.
Ino cover the entire world with her mind power with ease her dad was dying just connecting the Shinobi alliance the gap between ino and inoichi is wide and ino can make her mind transfer track
Hey I just had an interesting thought about how Kawaki could be exposed, but it would probably cause konoha to turn their back on Amado. What if Shikamaru had Boruto meet with himself and Amado and asked Amado to use the shutdown code on Boruto infront a select audience. I fear though that it would prove to be a useless plot point.
