I have way overbought these tools. I have both the Stainless steel version and the Aluminum version. A couple nice things about the AL version is that 1) it's less expensive in the first place, 2) it's a lot lighter to carry in your pocket. So for a while it was part of my EDC in the pocket kit. Then I switched it out for a Prestacycle Pro T-Handle Ratchet which is more versatile. Although if I had a big job building IKrapa Furniture, I'd bring my Metmo driver....
I also own the Stainless and the AL/Steel version of the big brother. They are cool but heavy/bulky to be EDC. Still love them for ratchet work.
BTW the version 2 of the big Metmo drivers have a place to store 5 bits in the handle.
And they sold a few Stainless body tubes which make the small driver into a longer version where you have more surface area to grab onto the tool. The handle of course doesn't fold with the tube in place so it's less compact but it makes the tool more versatile.

That's very cool! Old tool designs have a certain... something. Like the Yankee drills, etc.

Not many tools in the future.. that’s sad to think about! Very cool you reviewed these. 😇

Glad to hear you talk about the joy of using tools. You'll still get comments about a $127 screwdriver....but I also appreciate the joy of meticulous engineering and using tools that make me happy. No one said this is expensive because it's the best for heavy tool users using this professionally. I restore vintage tools all the time. Often modern tools have evolved to be better, but I do it because I enjoy it.

So do you thing there are any advantages to the all steel model? I like the look but I'm sure it's heavier. But would it be more durable or longer lasting?

Metmo also have a companion bit holder. It’s a similar style to the Pocket Driver & holds 6 bits magnetically. Got mine last week, to go with my Pocket Driver. 👍

Gimmicky, it doesn't look like its something that you would enjoy using as a everyday tool in a professional setting. It has a place on a IKEA endcap or aisle dangler.

Still salty they showed the SS version in all their advertising for the first one and then shipped an anodized aluminum one that looks cheap. I didn't learn my lesson and ordered the SS version this time (for a fee) and now I'm mostly happy. But their lack of apology has been frustrating and turned me off on the brand itself

I really wish the bigger one had an option for a 5/16 bit. Looking on the website, they actually sell the tech drawings for it so I'll probably just make one.
As I wouldn't really want to chuck up a whole new one just to broach cut out a bigger hex.
