@mguarnas my gopro camera came with a suction cup mount.i found this one in amazon- Panavise 809 Camera Window Suction-Cup Mount. just search for it in amazon its like $24
@mguarnas right side door window, on the top left corner of it when i fly with my instructor and top right corner of it when i solo flight i prefer this one cause it shows what you are doing
Bird strikes happen remarkably often- we had bird strikes on two consecutive flights of the Ez-Rocket, one in Mojave, the second at Oshkosh in July 2002. One hit a wing, the other hit the fuel tank under the belly, I had to clean up both messes.
The good thing about single engine aircraft is the fact that the grinder up front of the nose will save the pilot. There is no protection in twin engines. I am an old pilot and a friend of mine lost his co pilot while flying a DC3, a big buzzard came through the wind shield and hit the co pilot right on the face and the guy was killed instantly
Today i had a birdstrike in a cessna 172. I was flaring for runway 5 at norfolk international, seconds before touchdown, when a seagull flew into my prop and killed the engine. slammed the plane into the ground too as i was going about 35 knots. Its in the shop now
I just missed (or HE just missed me...) a Red-tailed Hawk, today! Last week, six White Pelicans tried to take me out! You hit a White Pelican at 138 mph, you are gonna have some serious hurt.
I was low and slow in a 727 on final for 24 R at LAX when I took a direct hit from a Canadian goose. It took 15 Min to clean that shit of my 27inch monitor.
That is taking it too far... The pilot is not an idiot.. The pilot did nothing wrong and the bird did nothing wrong. Stuff like this just happens sometimes.
Seriously, grow up. Yes, it's a poor animal, but do you think commenting like this on a RUclips video helps anything? Here's a hint: It does not. I came across this video while studying other videos of Cessnas, like most of the viewers here probably did. If you don't like it, don't watch it, don't comment on it.
Once on approach 150 feet agl, into small strip; large bird came at me in front of the cockpit; I ducked down below the dash; bang; large dent in the port wing leading edge then landed; perfect landing as usual poor bird.
I think you got it ALL backwards my friend. Animals DO NOT judge or cast assumptions of others before giving someone "the benefit of the doubt". So it isn't me whose sick it's the way humans treat one another that leaves me sick to my stomach which is why i could care less. These animals as ALL animals are innocent and born that way and stay that way. Unfortunately, human-beings change as they mature into callous and unsympathetic souls which leaves me sick to my stomach quite honestly...(g)
That poor animal what some may find funny isn't the case for me. Not after spending 30yrs in the avian field dealing with both wild & domestic exotic species. And before i get any "negative rants" i understand there is no way to avoid such a tragedy. However, it still affects me none the less especially if your as committed to the field as i am.
yes I think there is far greater intentional suffering going on in the world then too worry and cry about a bird that died instantly by accident......get over it
Then you among ALL the others that feel the same way are pretty heartless sob's aren't ya. I think you should speak for yourself instead of saying "nobody cares" which implies everybody and i'm certainly one that does care....(g)
And let's just be honest here, the bird was not cleared for that altitude or heading by ATC.
For all we know man, that bird probably didn't even request flight following!
HAHAHAHA!
Nice job preserving the paint on the centerline.
What are you trying to accomplish here?
ok thanks..but you have something to stick it to the windows right? where can i buy something like yours?
Bird one-seven-bravo, cleared direct via propeller approach to the windshield, over.
Bird one-seven-bravo squawking contact guard at 121.5...
can the FAA piece that one together?

Hi Robert, I would be interested to license this video. Is it generally possible to get in touch with you regarding this? Kind regards
Wow!! That bird strike was like a power-up. Everything went fast forward.
NIce video! Where did you mount your camera? I fly also a cessna 150 but no idea how to get that view!
@mguarnas right side door window, on the top left corner of it when i fly with my instructor and top right corner of it when i solo flight i prefer this one cause it shows what you are doing
You got some bird dirt on your windshield. Good to see the plane survived without any damage, other than a need for a bath.

You're lucky it didn't come through the front windscreen. In most cases it's a lot worse than that.
Did the bird survive?
Wow! And strong crosswind!
That is actually very probable. Bird strikes can be extremely destructive. Turbines sometimes suffer complete failure after a bird goes into it
AFLAC...AFLAC...AFLAC...
That's right, folks, it's BIRD-O-MATIC! It slices! It dices! It turns crows into windshield decorations!
Cessna got hungry thats all fresh poultry
looks like the prop saved you a lot of grief. glad the prop was not damaged either.
That bird was suicidal for sure, it aimed for you.
This was simply a case of bird "suicide by cessna" and when birds are depressed they find a easy way out
Yeah. I love flying, but I also love animals, specially birds. It sucks when stuff like this happens :(

The last thing through that birds mind? His ass!
Ouch poor little bird... Good video, shows perfectly what can happen.

well put id say is an understatement hehe
"Is that Rod Stewart in first class?" then thump!
Wow
Bird was cut in half before hiting the windshield
it's a bird eat bird world up there.
now foxes get delivery? air dropped delivery? damn Dominoes, you guys are falling behind
Wow. Hope the bird is ok.
too bad it wasn't Justin bieber with wings
Accidents happen and people grow up.
I always wondered how you can make homemade chicken nuggets
Lol
Anyone know if the bird was seriously hurt?
I have a feeling that if a bird gets blended by a propeller, it doesn't have a huge chance of survival
Allah Akbar bird
Great video! Hey, will someone tell Chuck to stop letting his students kill endangered birds over Kzoo! -Dale
well atleast the engines were good

chuck Norris style ;)
I was flying one time and hit a deer at 10,000 feet ! Honest !
reckless flying, that's what you get. chopped to bits
go and get the meat! the plane did all the gutting for you! lol

Who wants a wing?
Luckily the HUMANS were ok in this video, if it was a larger bird it could of killed someone.
